| Aug 30 06:19:00 | Unnamed Entry | As you mentioned, there isn't a whole lot here yet. But the style is visually appealing - I really liked the little guy's walk cycle, especially when moving side to side. Collected all the gems - would be fun to see where this ends up going. | |
| Aug 30 06:34:00 | 15m 00s | Chatty | Was on with three people plus the AI, but couldn't really figure out what to do. Gave the AI a coin, received some coins - no idea haha. Kind of a fun chat program, but not really sure what to do with it as far as a game. A couple things - is the user list supposed to show other users in the chat? It only showed my name, so I had to keep asking if people were around. Also, the AI was very chatty with a small player base. The frequency of it "wondering if anyone is around" could probably be reduced. Fun idea! |
| Aug 30 06:44:00 | 10m 00s | Knocker-Upper | Well, I learned something about myself today - I'd be fired from that job immediately. The visual and sound design were both aces - particularly, the cymbal crashes were very satisfying - and it's avery original concept for a game. As the commenter above mentioned, a lose condition would add something to the game. Alternatively, maybe a local scoreboard? That way, you might be encourage to replay to beat your previous best. |
| Aug 30 06:53:00 | 9m 00s | WindPowered! | Pretty interesting! I found it very challenging to play on my laptop's touchpad, but I can see the potential for it being easier on mobile. I liked the crafting system - I'd be intrigued to see a more in-depth upgrade tree in a later version. One sticking point for me was that the obstacles seem to instantiate on camera - by which I mean, sometimes, I'd drift off the bottom of the screen a bit, and when I came back the spikes were now in a totally different place. That was a little frustrating and sometimes made it feel like you were being punished for taking your time to plan. All in all, a cool experience. I'll try grabbing the APK for my phone when I get a chance, too. |
| Aug 30 06:56:00 | 3m 00s | Mammoths, Mammoths, Mammoths! | Neither Mac version 1.0 or 1.0.1 seem to function. Both links download 0 byte zip files containing only a file names Compat.browser |
| Aug 30 07:06:00 | 10m 00s | A New Start | Cool art style, but I couldn't seem to figure out what to do. Since I could swing the axe anywhere, I wasn't sure if swinging it near trees was gathering resources or doing anything at all. Some audio feedback might help players understand what to do. |
| Aug 30 07:13:00 | 7m 00s | Ancient Island Simulator 2016 | Interesting concept - kind of like the resource gathering part of an RTS but without the combat. Things were chugging along and then suddenly my whole screen filled with crops and the game froze? I never got more than four people, either. |
| Aug 30 07:15:00 | 2m 00s | Running With The Wolves | Cannot launch the game on OSX. I get a message: <br/> <br/>"Ludum" was purchased using the App Store on another computer. To use "Ludum" on this computer, sign in using the Apple ID and password used to purchase it. |
| Aug 30 07:22:00 | 7m 00s | Backwoods Culinary Basics | The Surgeon Simulator of campfire cooking games. I think if you made this a sort of short-order-cook-for-cavemen type game, where neanderthals asked for specific meals with a time limit, and kept the controls pretty much exactly the same, it could be frenetic, frustrating fun. |
| Aug 30 07:27:00 | 5m 00s | Dinosty Warriors | I have no idea what I was doing, but I had a ball doing it. Like some sort of combination of Blast Corps and ...I don't know what. Nice chiptune. |
| Aug 30 07:37:00 | 10m 00s | Run Grab Escape | I'm on OSX. Tried the submitted version, and Butterman moved at MAXIMUM WARP and every surface vibrated. V03 is much easier to control and seems to solve the environment shuddering issues. I was able to get all but one of the devices - the last one was just too frustrating. The length of his glide-on-stop makes the game challenging - was that chosen because he's made of butter? Either way, neat visual and a fun soundtrack. |
| Aug 30 07:46:00 | 9m 00s | Wilderness Survival | Challenging game! I was able to beat it on easy, but anything above that is pretty challenging. I was playing on hard and the horrifying black sphere with eyes scared me half to death. The music was a little hard to listen to over time, but pretty good for being done in 48 hours. Nice game. |
| Aug 30 07:59:00 | 13m 00s | Call of the Ancients | Wow, this was my favorite experience in a long time. Very inventive. It actually made me a little nervous in parts. |
| Aug 30 08:10:00 | 11m 00s | SMASH BASH: Sukhov vs Zombies | Incredible visuals if all of this was done in 48 hours. Very impressive. |
| Aug 30 09:03:00 | 53m 00s | Temple Balls | I am the most coolest ball! <br/>This game is great. Really neat variation on a theme and I had a great time. I honestly could probably play this for hours. <br/>One thing - you might want to take a look at the collision detection on the corners of the platforms - it seems like sometimes I fall through. That's honestly just a nitpick, though. The game is totally playable and fun just as it is. |
| Aug 30 19:22:00 | 10h 19m | Cat-O-Pult | Impressive polish for a short period of time! I had fun - played about five levels. <br/> <br/>Somehow, I managed to launch a cat in such a way that it walked directly off screen into the sky. This softlocked the game. Maybe implement a check if the cat is still within boundaries of the window? <br/> <br/>Overall, nice work! |
| Aug 30 22:22:00 | 3h 00m | Pen and paper | Love this! Really neat and clever, and the beginning is an excellent touch. Nice job thinking outside the ... box. Haaa ;) |
| Aug 30 22:31:00 | 9m 00s | The Sleeper | Good job! That weird knife-hand-and-foot dude scared the crap out of me. |
| Aug 30 22:46:00 | 15m 00s | Sycamore Trees | I think this idea is pretty interesting, and the effect is neat. However I could only hear music and find a campfire once; after that I walked for quite awhile and didn't hear music or see anything again. Can't tell if I did something wrong! |
