| Apr 21 20:36:00 | Where's Manno | I like the effect but it was too much to play for more than a few minutes. The voice got really annoying after awhile--I did "follow the light" but the lamp didn't seem to do anything. | |
| Apr 21 20:42:00 | 6m 00s | Extreme Fighting Not Very Greedy Jews With Doner Kebab For No Reason. The Game. | Seems like it needs to be balanced still. I go for stretches where no enemies spawn for what seems like ages and then 10 come at once and kill me before I can kill a single one. |
| Apr 21 20:50:00 | 8m 00s | Alone | I got murdered the first few times until I figured out what was going on. At that point it basically becomes Simon -- made it about a minute and a half on my longest run. Never came close to running out of power on my flashlight. |
| Apr 21 20:54:00 | 4m 00s | Wired In | Reminds me of Michael Brough's Helix. Is there any reason to not just always plant your wire in the center of the screen? It might've been cooler if you had a finite amount of wire instead of being able to extend it all the way across the screen. |
| Apr 21 20:58:00 | 4m 00s | Zombie Slaughter | The zombies have WAAAAAY too much health and the crates need to come faster. I ended up with 2 things (i think #2 was a buzz saw?) but it disappeared as soon as i switched to it. |
| Apr 21 21:05:00 | 7m 00s | Don't Drop the TV | Simple but very fun and with good sound effects! You should put it on mobile. |
| Apr 21 21:46:00 | 41m 00s | Dusk | Really cute with really nice puzzles. For me the only problem is how floaty the physics are, which is kind of the cardinal sin for a platformer. It was hard to stop/jump accurately in many places, which is super frustrating if you lose a lot of progress. Good idea though! |
| Apr 21 21:54:00 | 8m 00s | Dirk Sharp in 'AN UNCONVENTIONAL WEAPON' | I eliminated a suspect but I'm not sure exactly how... or maybe that was the second murder victim? I tried again and arrested someone just to see what would happen... but I don't know if they were the real killer! |
| Apr 21 21:58:00 | 4m 00s | The Magical Hat of Usefulness | Simple little game with lots of variety. I didn't realize I had limited ammo with some of the weapons, but overall pretty entertaining. |
| Apr 21 22:02:00 | 4m 00s | Eurovision: world domination through the power of song | Lots of music but doesn't really feel like a game and no weapons. Great amount of content for just a weekend, though! |
| Apr 21 22:07:00 | 5m 00s | Ally VS Wild ! | I couldn't really follow what was going on -- maybe add some projectiles so I can tell what's happening when I fire my gun? |
| Apr 21 22:13:00 | 6m 00s | Fruit Salad (in Space) | The intro was pretty funny, but I the gameplay was really hard to figure out. I was never sure which fruit was going to launch and they all seem pretty underpowered for how quickly the enemies take you down. |
| Apr 21 22:17:00 | 4m 00s | Banana Bandit | I've never even heard of Elm, so props for using the weekend to learn something new! I was able to beat it without really using the banana--just by timing my sneaks just right. Was the banana supposed to make them fall down? |
| Apr 21 22:19:00 | 2m 00s | Vacuum Maiden | I couldn't figure out how to kill a monster, though I did suck up a lot of furniture. |
| Apr 27 20:14:00 | 141h 55m | Downbeat | I'm not musically inclined, so I had to watch the simon prompts visually instead of listening for them. Keeping an eye on the prompts and moving around the space is really challenging, though I was able to survive for quite awhile.

I have no idea what the "center" tone was for -- there are only 4 arrow keys. After reading the comments here I realize it was "do nothing for a beat" -- but I never would've figured that out from the game. |
| Apr 27 20:18:00 | 4m 00s | AquaphobiCats | seems like you shouldn't be able to go off the edge of the screen |
| Apr 27 20:25:00 | 7m 00s | Burrito Socorrista‏ | Do the different burritos actually do anything differently? A pity you don't want ratings for sounds, I thought that was the funniest part!

The gameplay itself is pretty repetitive -- there needs to be some sort of ammo constraint or cooldown to keep you from just spamming burritos. |
| Apr 27 20:39:00 | 14m 00s | > punch -s | All the art is super cute. I'm a pretty fast typer, but I wasn't able to keep up with even the first robot (even with pausing). Maybe I just suck at fighting games? Maybe if you had command history so you could press up and repeat jabs? |
| Apr 27 20:44:00 | 5m 00s | Get'em Princess! | Good start! I wasn't super clear on whether or not I could kill the balloons with my apples or not (though the pig sure seemed to like them). There seems to be something off with the turn sensitivity -- I would often find my mouse cursor outside the window and then clicking would de-focus instead of firing an apple. Would definitely recommend turning up the look sensitivity. |
| Apr 27 20:49:00 | 5m 00s | Volcano Heist | Also took me a few tries to figure out exactly what was going on. Pretty fun! Didn't really understand what the vent guy was supposed to do, was able to beat it fast enough with the machine guy.

It would be helpful if the arrows flashed when staying put or always changed directions -- it was super hard to know whether I was supposed to hit it again when it repeated itself. |
| Apr 27 20:55:00 | 6m 00s | Makeshift Defense | Pretty good idea for a game! I also enjoyed L2 a lot more than the first once I figured out you could combo the bouncy platforms (ditto for L3 -- much easier to use the bounce plates than the arrows). |
| Apr 27 21:03:00 | 8m 00s | Stop the Goblin Army | Feels like a physics demo more than a game. Maybe have a track with a bunch of pins set up and plow through 10 "frames" as a sequence of 20 sets of goblins instead of always resetting? Like endless runner bowling. |
| Apr 27 21:13:00 | 10m 00s | Ninja With A Teddy Bear | Really short! But a pretty good start. The movement was pretty fluid. I didn't realize the pill/countdown/circle things were bad guys at first. The music was epic! |
| Apr 27 21:18:00 | 5m 00s | Hollywood Horror | Was going to complain about the awful controls until I realized you could also move with the arrow keys. There's quite a few levels, but it seems like you can skip all but the bosses. Didn't really get the shape-bombs, but they were very effective! |
| Apr 27 21:20:00 | 2m 00s | ICE CREAM | Fun take on an endless runner type. The most fascinating thing in the game is the ice cream truck. The animation and texture work makes for an awesome style. I think that the color pallet is a little drab tho. It feels like a polluted environment and I think that brightening it up a bit would make for a more appealing environment. Throw in some environmental progression, more obstacles (and some sick jumps), and coins to collect and you have a solid foundation going forward. Maybe you can have a powerup that allows you to play music to attract all of the kids toward your truck! Also, that death rainbow sploosh is the greatest thing ever. Amazing job. |
| Apr 27 21:35:00 | 15m 00s | Evil Cupido: Haters gonna hate | Fun art style. Loved that the ordering of shots was important to getting past a scene. Somewhat Rube Goldberg-ian in a sense that you need to set things in motion and let them play out at times. I really liked what that happened. The stealth mechanic was the least developed part. I think implementing a larger screen space with some stealth gameplay would be fun. Maybe shooting a light and person to have them light go out so that you could progress. Or even turning some lights off so that you can cause people to fall down the stairs? Nevertheless, great submission. |
| Apr 27 21:56:00 | 21m 00s | Underground Hangovers | Awesome entry! One of the few games that I have played that has some pretty long gameplay. I love the opportunity cost of hauling too much loot with you. Instantly reminds me of being over-encumbered in Fallout or the Elder Scrolls series. I did like that I could set my grapple in a placed that I knew I needed to go and then collect my loot after it was placed. Otherwise, I would not be able to place it correctly after I had collected more gems. Awesome all around. |
| Apr 27 22:03:00 | 7m 00s | Valley of the Farting Unicorn | More like Basin of the Farting Unicorn, amirite?

Not a lot of gameplay here, seems like more of a toy right now. You also don't have to fart, you can just walk over rocks. |
| Apr 27 22:17:00 | 14m 00s | Spaced | I thought that I was going to hate this game but by level 4 or so, I was kinda' hooked. Level 4? (the cross level) is where I really started to like the game. I feel like I could actually form a strategy in that level the best. The level/wave design could use some tweaking, if only for the fact that the game is brutal to begin with. I'd love to see some level design progression that starts slower and ramps up into chaos. I also like that I can't be hit or damaged. It's like all of the enemies only care about my land rover, which is interesting. I also really like that the special enemies give you totems that you can place across the map. I found that these totems could be combined in interesting and strategic ways. Great submission. :D |
| Apr 30 18:34:00 | 68h 17m | Tetrominions | Pretty good idea for a game! It needs a lot more balance, though -- with it being so wide, there's really no reason to make lines. Just shoot for the bugs even if the pieces don't fit. I also hard a hard time visually distinguishing between a finished piece that the bugs built vs their random crap that was lying on top of the board. |
| Apr 30 18:40:00 | 6m 00s | Mugslinger | Nice little game! I like the way he pulls his arm back to show how powerful a throw it's going to be.

At first I thought it was REALLY easy, then I realized I wasn't moving my mouse at all from eye-level. If your mouse is higher or lower the throws get a lot harder, but I never saw any reason to move the mouse at all.

Would love to add a jump to jump up and catch my mug instead of having to wait for it to drop. |
| Apr 30 19:15:00 | 35m 00s | Wordskill | Structurally it's pretty interesting but it needs a LOT more grammar units to make it feel less repetitive.

You should make the speech balloon a selectable text field so people can copy their insults and paste them down here as comments! |
| Apr 30 19:31:00 | 16m 00s | Gravity | Really impressive portal-style game! I think the shaders actually make it harder, though -- I had a really hard time finding hard edges of things and figuring out where to go next in the world because things were blending together so much.

Music is pleasant, would've loved to hear some gun-firing or squashing sound effects! |
| Apr 30 19:34:00 | 3m 00s | Hot Kitty! | For such a small amount of time, it's not bad! The art style is weird but actually kind of cool (especially the breath of the kitty). |
| Apr 30 19:41:00 | 7m 00s | Rare Drop | Do enemies keep spawning? I feel like I ran out around Level 5 or so. I think the movement feels a little sluggish. Most of the flowers are taller than me. Swords are pretty conventional.

Nitpicks done! I really love the visual style and the screen shaking. This is a really promising start to a game I would totally play more of. Excellent job! |
| Apr 30 19:51:00 | 10m 00s | Bar Brawler | The music gets pretty epic pretty fast! But sadly the gameplay can't keep up. Movement feels great! Picking things up works okay. Targeting is a real chore.

For awhile I was wondering why some guys have health bars and some don't -- maybe give them a more visually distinct "dead" state and make it so thrown things go over them instead of pushing them around to make it clearer that you don't have to deal with them.

Overall not a bad entry! It's playable and kind of challenging. |
| Apr 30 19:57:00 | 6m 00s | Liquid Cryogenics | Really interesting controls! I wished it filled up faster more like a quick-shot power meter just so it wasn't quite so frustrating.

After awhile I realized the flying guys can't hurt you and just focused on the ground guys -- feel like I could play forever difficulty-wise. Does it get harder? |
| Apr 30 20:02:00 | 5m 00s | Fatal Traction | Interesting mechanic -- I wish the hit boxes were a little more forgiving (it's pretty frustrating!) |
| Apr 30 20:12:00 | 10m 00s | Ramming Speed | 24 well trained rams later...

Really slick graphics and camera work -- overall just great production value for a compo entry!

If you could figure out a good control scheme for mobile, these games are really popular right now (see Mr Jump) |
| Apr 30 20:21:00 | 9m 00s | Tower Troubles | Seems like a promising start, but it needs a lot more before it's really playable as described. I was able to convert the pink guys to blue guys and they would chase me to the pink base and the pink bar would go down a little... but then I also die randomly a lot and respawn and the meters restart. Really hard to figure out what's going on. |
| Apr 30 20:26:00 | 5m 00s | Can i fly? | Reminds me of a Oculus Rift game I played one time that made me nauseous for the rest of the day. Interesting space with interesting colors and an interesting mechanic!

So good job! |
| Apr 30 20:39:00 | 13m 00s | Kawaii Destruction | The jump is REALLY high, which makes it hard to play. The art is super cute, though. |
| Apr 30 20:42:00 | 3m 00s | Burger Strike | More of a toy than a game at this point, but it's pretty hilarious to see the giant burger falling. I didn't get what the explosions were, though -- just testing 3D picking? |
| May 6 18:12:00 | 141h 30m | Udom Nebdon | fixed camera is giving me flashbacks to resident evil. love the modeling, appreciate what you were going for with the shader -- on a lot of the scene transitions i lost my character because he was mostly the same color as everything else. super slick entry! |
| May 6 18:16:00 | 4m 00s | Rhino Revelations 2: Electric Boogaloo: Collector's Edition | Cute little 3D models, almost the start of something like Super Crate Box. seems like when you reload you go on auto-fire until you click the left mouse button again. rhinos in the jungle? |
| May 6 18:23:00 | 7m 00s | Gravity Blade | Super fun! I would totally play this on console -- maybe with 4-player local coop and different colored blades/heroes. Really impressive work for only 7 hours |
| May 6 18:26:00 | 3m 00s | Tonal Ice Wizard | Really interesting start -- the visuals and sounds are quite soothing. The movement still needs a lot of polish though--hard to move around and quite easy to clip through walls. |
| May 6 18:29:00 | 3m 00s | Throwtatoes | Cute P-R-S implementation. You should've left mood voting on, these are my favorite 5-star mood games. It may not be pretty and it may not be the most fun game, but these types of games are why I enjoy LD so much... I hope moshbean had a blast! |
| May 6 18:37:00 | 8m 00s | Weaponized Cloud | Seems like a good start but there's not enough in there yet. I could move around and figured out how to get my cloud where I wanted it, but I couldn't finish off any of the bad guys (they just shrink). What's the goal? |
| May 6 18:41:00 | 4m 00s | Kids These Days | Took me a little bit to figure out how to get out of the first room, but the rest of the game teaches a valuable lesson for trolls: NEVER ENGAGE! I had a much easier time avoiding them and running for the doors than spouting curses and literature at them.

Cute concept! |
| May 6 18:44:00 | 3m 00s | Hydro Shocked! | The doll and the town are super creepy. Wish there was more there to give more feedback! Seems like a good start. Lots of art but not a whole lot of gameplay yet. |
