| Dec 8 03:01:00 | Attack of the Screen Scrollers | Great job! I really like the interpretation of the theme. :) | |
| Dec 8 03:02:00 | 1m 00s | Meltdown | Not sure how to run a jar file on Windows. |
| Dec 8 03:17:00 | 15m 00s | rougish | I like the homage to nethack, however, it could use a little bit more hand holding in the beginning. How do I pick things up? Can I defend myself when I'm being attacked? Also, I had to turn the music down (read: off) because it was a little grating after a while. =/ |
| Dec 8 03:22:00 | 5m 00s | Snowman Simulator 2014 | Good game. The art came together, which was nice. The sounds were a little ... unthematic, but I guess that adds to the fun. :) Good job! |
| Dec 8 04:53:00 | 1h 31m | GrayGrid | Great job! I had a lot of fun. Some of the puzzles were really hard! |
| Dec 8 05:24:00 | 31m 00s | Killa Biva' | There is something cathartic about murdering hordes of ... mosquito-planes? |
| Dec 8 05:33:00 | 9m 00s | I've Seen This Room Before | Good job, fellow Haskeller! It's nice to see people trying to bring Haskell to mainstream game development! <br/> <br/>I couldn't figure out how to get past level five, but otherwise you had the right idea. |
| Dec 8 07:12:00 | 1h 39m | Orbitals | Fun game. It was really hard to collect the green things. The music also gave me a seizure (in a good way) |
| Dec 8 07:46:00 | 34m 00s | Terra Kata | Interesting idea. The controls are a bit clunky. I can tell that your levels are procedurally generated. Good job! |
| Dec 8 07:49:00 | 3m 00s | Litelane | Good audio. I liked the detail with the particle effects. Also, seems to have a lot of options. Left/Right to select is a little unintuitive. Also, snake seems a little ... oldschool, but you had a great take on it! |
| Dec 8 08:01:00 | 12m 00s | Cyclic Clash | It seems like you have the right idea here. At least, you're on the right track. I had a hard time figuring out what each of the symbols meant -- it didn't seem like there was a theme going on. However, I liked the art overall and you clearly have a knack for aesthetic. |
| Dec 8 08:07:00 | 6m 00s | OUTRANGE | I like it, kind of a new take on missile command. It was a bit confusing at first to notice that new turrets spawn in the same place every time. Also that the cost of turrets was associated with the gold in the top right. Once I got the hang of it, I actually found myself playing quite a few rounds. <br/> <br/>Good job! :) |
| Dec 8 08:13:00 | 6m 00s | Grown Ups Frequency | I think this is the first game that I've played where I had to move *away* from the sound. Very innovative. Good thing I was wearing headphones though :) |
| Dec 8 08:17:00 | 4m 00s | No-Face Man | This was a nice variation of pac-man. Good job. :) |
| Dec 8 08:26:00 | 9m 00s | Clear Screen | This is pretty good! I think with a bit more polish this could actually turn into a pretty good commercial game. The first time I played through I was really confused, but the second time everything fell into place! Good job. :) |
| Dec 8 08:31:00 | 5m 00s | Riveroboros | This game almost gave me a seizure. It was really difficult! I know a lot of people that would actually really enjoy this game, but I don't think it's for me. :) |
| Dec 8 08:34:00 | 3m 00s | WASD | Couldn't run the game: <br/> <br/>The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000007b). Click OK to close the application. |
| Dec 8 08:43:00 | 9m 00s | Super Color-o RGB: Legend of the Several Stars | Really difficult, but unique game! I really like the ability to change colors, although the controls are a little clunky and unintuitive. I would suggest changing QWE to change colors, ASD to control platforms, just space to attack with your current color (black would need one attack from each), and keep the arrow keys as the only way to control. <br/> <br/>I had a lot of fun with this. Good job! |
| Dec 8 08:47:00 | 4m 00s | typedef char | This game was a little too hard for me. Otherwise, really good interpretation of the theme, and I really like the homage to assembly. Good job! :) |
| Dec 8 15:51:00 | 7h 04m | RGB | Great game! The high variation of the walls caught me off guard (in a good way). :) |
| Dec 8 16:33:00 | 42m 00s | Orion | Great job! The graphics were great! I'm really impressed with what you were able to do in 48 hours. |
| Dec 8 16:39:00 | 6m 00s | Vicious Trap | Fun concept, although sometimes two or three spikes are right next to each other and impossible to jump over. =( |
| Dec 8 19:32:00 | 2h 53m | Death in front | Overall it was a good attempt at a zombie survival game. :) There is ample room for improvement, however. I think the biggest thing should make it obvious whether or not I've hit a zombie. Also, if I've missed, show me where I *would* have hit if I did. |
| Dec 8 19:42:00 | 10m 00s | no trudno | I wasn't really sure what the objective of the game was. Good fuel mechanic otherwise. |
| Dec 8 19:52:00 | 10m 00s | Carrot Chaos | Really good art! It was a little difficult using my keyboard, because each hand has different arrow keys. :( Also, I think that there's a bug when you get pinned by a snowman you get instakilled. |
| Dec 8 20:04:00 | 12m 00s | Zroom | Good job! I really liked the idea of the "single screen" going with you between levels. I couldn't get past the level with the spikes, though. Falling off the level was a real problem! |
| Dec 8 20:22:00 | 18m 00s | Little Town | This game was very ambitious! From only a few playthroughs I had trouble following which components of the game were connected. It's on the right track! I'd be interested to see what you could do with more time! |
| Dec 8 20:32:00 | 10m 00s | President's bodyguard simulator | Nazi nyan-cat was a nice touch. |
| Dec 9 19:10:00 | 22h 38m | Entity Unchained | Great game! :) How come the enemies' bullets have infinity range but mine don't =( |
| Dec 9 19:21:00 | 11m 00s | Dark Rabbit | Had a hard time running on Linux: <br/> <br/>./darkrabbit: error while loading shared libraries: libGLEW.so.1.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory <br/> <br/>I downloaded glew from here: <br/> <br/>http://sourceforge.net/projects/glew/files/glew/1.8.0/ <br/> <br/>built it, and moved the files in the lib directory and it worked. <br/> <br/>I liked the bomberman meets plants vs zombies style. That being said, an skewed isometric view with WASD keys is really difficult to get a hold on. That, and laying TNT and having someone walk on it directly got me killed a few times. Not having to exit when I lose is also a good feature. <br/> <br/>Overall good job. :) |
| Dec 9 19:27:00 | 6m 00s | Snowman Critter Control | Great game! At first I thought the game was going to be really easy. Then, once it got going I realized it's actually kind of hard. It had replayability though! |
| Dec 9 19:32:00 | 5m 00s | Bit Raiders (multiplayer) | Had trouble running on X64 ubuntu: <br/> <br/>$ java -jar LD31.jar <br/>libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast <br/>X Error of failed request: 255 <br/> Major opcode of failed request: 155 (GLX) <br/> Minor opcode of failed request: 17 (X_GLXVendorPrivateWithReply) <br/> Serial number of failed request: 83 <br/> Current serial number in output stream: 86 |
| Dec 9 19:49:00 | 17m 00s | flop | Absolutely fantastic game! Great job! <br/> <br/>One (minor) criticism: The controls could do with a *little* bit of polish. It was hard to get a feel for how much I should hold left/right when jumping. <br/> <br/>I got stuck in the H near the end (?) but otherwise was a great game, and good interpretation of the theme! |
| Dec 9 19:56:00 | 7m 00s | Crate Collecter | Interesting... Hope you keep up the good work! |
| Dec 9 20:00:00 | 4m 00s | neven | Overall pretty good. It was really hard for me, though! |
| Dec 9 21:23:00 | 1h 23m | Daybloom | Your linux .zip seems to contain .exes and .dlls =( |
| Dec 10 03:05:00 | 5h 42m | The Harvest Sparrows | Overall pretty good. It even worked on my tablet. There was one bug where turning the music off didn't keep the off though |
| Dec 10 04:26:00 | 1h 21m | Amiss | This game is really impressive for a 48 hour game. I forgot the numbers and didn't write them down. Then I lost -- I guess you warned me. :P |
| Dec 10 06:14:00 | 1h 48m | Hexawing | I too, found button mashing to be the best strategy. With some powerups and selective disabling of turrets this would be a funner game! |
| Dec 12 17:36:00 | 59h 22m | Cobot | Good platformer. It's very hard and unforgiving, though! That being said, good job on making every failure point recoverable. The thing I'd like to see are checkpoints (maybe spawn at last door when you die). Good job! |
| Dec 12 17:53:00 | 17m 00s | Panoptes | Great game! The only thing that makes me think you aren't a crazy ludum-dare game dev wizard to have made this in 48 hours is the feel of the pong controller. Everything else was great! Good job! |
| Dec 12 18:57:00 | 1h 04m | A Gore-y Election | Not sure how ads help you. Keeping ads at zero seemed to net me the most electoral wins. Good game idea, though! |
| Dec 12 19:05:00 | 8m 00s | Winter storm | Had trouble running this on OS X 10.6: <br/> <br/>$ java -jar LD31.jar <br/>Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: main/Engine : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 |
| Dec 13 09:11:00 | 14h 06m | Screen King | Great interpretation of the theme! GJ! |
