Aug 26 14:29:00 kunektd Not sure how I feel about this game: at first it seems like a not-a-game where you can do nothing but look around, but then things happen...! I managed to reach the 3rd world, but could not go further as I didn't know what to do, and didn't feel like talking back to every person on each world.

With more polished NPCs and quests this could be a really nice & funny minimalist thing, but directions were really too unclear to really enjoy the game. Unlessed I missed something?

BTW, props for making it responsive!
Aug 26 14:47:00 18m 00s Linked Colours Great entry! It took me some time to figure out the exact rules, but then it's pure bliss! Well, with drag and hold controls il would have been, but hey it's fun already. Can't wait to see a more polished version on my Android *wink wink*.

Reminds me of the game "Lyne" which is quite similar.
Aug 26 18:06:00 3h 19m Northlonde Hey that's funny, the game we did is also a factory building simulation!

The graphics and UI are really nice, I really like the way buildings are built, it's clean, innovative, and quite satisfying.

Like Nichii said the down side is that there's not much strategy in play here. What might make the game really awesome is to simply make the buy/selling prices vary with time: build too much of the same thing and your goods will lose their value in favor of other products. The goal would be then to find the perfect balance for maximum and stable profit.

Overall it's a nice and well polished entry, congrats!
Aug 26 18:35:00 29m 00s Ormington Chomost Calling Great! I like how the gameplay is story-driven, yet every mini-game is still interesting. I've never been that much focus on simply dialing a number :P

I didn't really get what the voices said (the fact that I'm not a native might explain that), too bad because it seems like a lot of effort has been put in sound too.

Also nice graphics, it must have taken some time to create every planet and their surface. Impressive amount of work for 48 hours.
Aug 26 20:10:00 1h 35m Planetary Intergalactic Super Supply Line: Other Terran Species That was cool!
Quite easy (as it says) in Action Mode. Couldn't manage to win in Strategy Mode... Well, I'm not a good strategist then ^^
Aug 26 20:19:00 9m 00s Galacto's Intolerant Well, it took me a while to understand what I should do. I think a little tutorial at the beginning (or even just some text with arrow explaining where I can click) would be nice.
Anyway, loved the selfie!
Aug 26 21:00:00 41m 00s Pushback Cities The idea is really good. A good feature would have been to be able to reverse buildings ;)
Aug 26 21:14:00 14m 00s Spacewatch It was hard to find the good path the first time but finally I manage to find a way to the target many times after ;)
Good realisation
Aug 27 06:31:00 9h 17m First Submission I can't run your game. I get the error: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no lwjgl in java.library.path.
I used Windows link.
Aug 27 10:58:00 4h 27m Saving Gray Nice idea and the mecanics, but I don't understand what I have to do to win. I like the music ;)
Aug 27 11:28:00 30m 00s Jane Austen Versus Slug Lord Made it to 32!

The gameplay, setting and animations all at once make this game funny and weird at the same time, congratulations for finding a way to put together your assets and shaders into something that (almost) make sense ;)
Aug 27 12:09:00 41m 00s Grim Gateway Amazing pixel art and audio, the game has a good Metal Slug vibe! The game mechanics are a clever take on the theme too.

Like others said, the camera close-up and instant game overs (where can I insert my coin to continue?! ;P) are the main flaws of this game, I threw away my keyboard after landing on an off-screen creature during level 3! But I might give it another try later, I'd really like to see the rest of the game, just to check how much contents there is.
Aug 27 21:05:00 8h 56m Galactic Dump This is my favorite so far. Great game. And a really good idea because it's 100% in theme, it have simple mechanism and every aspect of this game is good.
Music is great without being intrusive.
Aug 27 21:30:00 25m 00s Live is Life That was cool, but WASD on an AZERTY keyboard is quite hard... You should detect the type of keyboard and adapt!
That said, it was fun, but the lack of direction is quite confusing sometimes!
Aug 27 21:40:00 10m 00s Cranesym Fun little game :)
Aug 27 21:42:00 2m 00s Space-Butterflies No linux here... Shame porting seems so hard! Good luck..
Aug 28 11:19:00 13h 37m ComboTwin Good idea but would be better with more challenge. It would have been also a good idea to have more possible move for both twins. I know that's on the todo section but that was my impressions before reading this one ;)
Aug 28 15:53:00 4h 34m No Metro I don't think I'm too close-minded about experimental games but this is a bit too unclear to enjoy. Given the context of the Ludum Dare, all I can think of this after finishing it is: "maybe he didn't have the time to actually implement gameplay", or "well sometimes games from jams lack indications so maybe I just missed something".

At the end, it seems like I finally had an actual decision to make, but I'm not even sure the key I pressed at that moment was actually taken in account. It's sad, because I would have liked to understand what hides behind this experimental game.
Aug 28 16:02:00 9m 00s Prim Hey it's like a Candy Box variant, in which as long as you wait nothing happens! Awesome ;)

I hope you'll have more time next LD to achieve something more complete!
Aug 28 16:18:00 16m 00s Accelerated-Life Rock en Seine ?

Aug 28 16:28:00 10m 00s Between Worlds Nice entry, the mechanic worked well and the graphics are quite polished!

I managed to finish it - I'm not sure though, since I reached the "The end" screen, but it suggests there might be more to see... Except the player seems to be laggy and there's nowhere I can go. I'm left curious and eager for more ^^
Aug 28 16:35:00 7m 00s Connected @Tanner "can't kill boss on level 2" >>> Haha nice trolling!

Regarding the game, well that's a start, if you eventually finish the game feel free to add it as an "post-compo version", if I run into it I'd be glad to try it too!

Otherwise I hope you'll have better luck next time, try maybe to aim for something more simple :P Or y'know, don't, either way you'll be able to learn new stuff and practice game dev, so whatever you do it's all good!
Aug 29 21:02:00 28h 27m Cluster Struck A little bit too static to my liking... But still, nicely done.
Aug 29 21:30:00 28m 00s Glenn - A Driving Saga Wow! I just can't stop trying... Man! Did I just die 60 times in a row? Whyyyy won't you turn!
That 3rd level... Absolutely mind fuck. Loved it.
Sep 2 11:55:00 86h 25m Connected Worlds Public Transport Inc. I like this game. Good idea and realization. I just miss the ability to remove one link at a time instead of clear all of them. But it's add some difficulty ^^
Sep 3 21:52:00 33h 57m Twin star I like it. It's quite simple but in theme, easy to understand and with a good level of difficulty
Sep 4 21:05:00 23h 13m Tropical Transit Nice job. I really like it ;)
Sep 5 18:33:00 21h 28m World's Best The game is fun and I really like the graphics. Good job ;)
Sep 8 17:26:00 70h 53m Bus Clever use of the theme! The "MSPaint" art style worked surprisingly well too.

The game mechanics are a bit hard to grasp and unforgiving (no checkpoints) but they still serve the story well. I found the game a bit unbalanced too: after all these very short sequences, when the planes part came by, I thought I was doing something wrong since I couldn't get to shoot the enemy. I think now that I only had to survive a minute or so until the red plane made it to the right part of the screen, but I didn't manage to get past it. After a few attempts I had to give up.

Overall it's a great 48h entry :)
Sep 8 17:38:00 12m 00s Digbot Dash At first it doesn't seem like much, but the buttom smashing, retro looks and fast decision taking made this thing really fun to play, congrats!

The story didn't make much sense to me (seems like a few words were missing?), but he's a Digbot so whatever he says as long as he digs ;) Good level design too.
Sep 8 20:56:00 3h 18m World Traveler Nice one, the gameplay is minimal and difficult but it mostly works. The downside is that the game is teared between a fast-paced arcade game and an ambient exploration adventure, I would have prefered something a bit more calm and easy. Actually most of the game consists in staring anxiously at the countdown and sorting out collisions against the walls, so it leaves little time to enjoy the scenery. Also, the mobs already add the necessery pressure for the player to advance, so I'm not sure if the countdown was necessary at all.

That's all for my feedback about game design! The rest is a success to me: the graphics and the level design are pretty good, and the game is overall well polished. Good job, especially for a first!
Sep 8 21:08:00 12m 00s Berta Haha I got a lot of "c'mon physics engine!!" moments along the way, but usually it was pretty forgiving (permissive jump conditions + checkpoints), so I made it to the end (well, to the gray wall, couldn't find more?) without too much issues. It felt a bit short though, so I guess I missed something but I really couldn't find anything more.

The graphics are pretty good and cohesive, I liked the piano bit too.
Sep 8 21:14:00 6m 00s Conversation Simple yet innovative gameplay, and a nice take on the theme. As you said it's really hard to play and a bit frustrating, I guess it could use some more experimentation to find out how to make things more fun to play, but it really feels like you've found something new here. Congrats :)

Oh and also the music, while basic, really fits the mood of the game.
Sep 8 21:28:00 14m 00s AlienScape Very good idea, I really had to focus to progress through the levels. Some hitboxes are a bit unforgiving, and the graphics lack consistency but overall it's a well balanced platformer, and I had fun playing it. I like the fact that during progress and with some practice, all elements (turrets/fires/enemies) can be understood & mastered, so we eventually get better and better at it. Good idea and good execution!
Sep 8 21:40:00 12m 00s Close Your Eyes Adding my voice to the crowd to yell how cool this game is :)

Gameplay, graphics, polish, all feels nice, fun to play, and modern (= flat & mobile friendly ;P)

If I were to suggest some improvements for the future, I'd say you should rely more on this "blindness" mechanic: I really enjoyed how in the first how I had to keep in mind the trajectory of the ball ; sadly ihis idea is lost in the latter levels, which are full of visual markers to keep track of where things are. Keeping 1 world only and building on the blindess mechanic would be a great direction to try.

I hope to see more of this!
Sep 8 21:48:00 8m 00s Styx Lol wait- was I like Hades shooting at bubble skulls with my laser? Okay x)

There's not much incentive to shoot at skulls at first, that's only once you finish it that you're realize it's a "high score" game :P Now playing it as a freeride thing is cool too, I like seeing me ridie my boat over the Styx with my turn signal on!

Very good graphics, the gameplay feels a bit poor (lack of time I guess) but overall I had a nice time playing it.
Sep 8 21:59:00 11m 00s Run Out in Space Nice, is the track randomly generated? Too bad you couldn't finish it, dropping in some objectives would have turned this toy into an awesome entry.

(Also totally unrelated but I found the "Support this" button a bit uncalled for)
