Apr 28 09:44:00 Check my micro: the game Interesting game, good work for 6 hours! The game has a number of flaws though, which can be ironed out easily enough with more time, but which mar the gameplay. The controls seem unintuitive. I expect left click to select and deselect, right click to move. Also, it happens often that I accidentally select multiple ships at once, and I haven't figured out how to select a second ship without moving the first one as well. The enemies can appear right on top of you when you're near the haven. Sometimes the ships won't unload when they are on top of the haven. I didn't hear any sound.
Apr 28 10:24:00 40m 00s Not your Average Mining Emulator Looks good, pretty ambitious for a ld48 entry! It took me a while to figure out this game, and there are still things I don't understand. More instructions would help. Sometimes I can dig ore and sometimes I can't, is that a bug or a feature? The player floats through solid rock to ground level when I jump in a tunnel, I assume that's a bug. <br/>I ran this on Linux 64bit, and it works except I don't hear any sound.
Apr 28 10:39:00 15m 00s A Mole's Life Unusual and intriguing game. I like how it starts off simple, but adds new gameplay elements as the game progresses. Unfortunately the game moves a bit slowly and I got stuck at the "hungry" part. Worms keep popping up and I keep eating them like mad, but I die from hunger every time. It's a pity I didn't get to see the other parts of the game. There seems to be water physics in there as well, and what do the baby moles do? Maybe I'll play this again later when I have more time.
Apr 28 11:04:00 25m 00s The Dark Things Original concept! The graphics look good. I didn't hear any sound. Avoiding the dark things seems a bit random. Though you can steer them into a corner with the plants, they also have random behaviour. At one point I got lucky as most of them got stuck. That's how I managed to complete the game.
Apr 28 13:12:00 2h 08m Oh My Oilrig! Very well presented and polished for an 48h game! A bit limited in terms of strategic choices. After about 500m the game didn't seem to get more difficult anymore.
Apr 28 15:45:00 2h 33m Beneath the Trolls Seems very complete and well presented, impressive for 48 hours. However, I got stuck soon. The first 6 levels were all too easy, then I got stuck at level 7, which I found very frustrating. First I have to make a split second jump because the jump cooldown takes so long, and then I am supposed to avoid and shoot at an enemy I can't see. Difficulty balancing is often a problem in LD48, such a pity. How about having the player start at any level?
Apr 28 15:55:00 10m 00s Cave Money The graphics actually look good, but the game is rather minimalist. How about increasing difficulty level, and having different enemy behaviours? I think the collision bounding boxes are too large. I didn't get any sound, that's probably because I'm on Linux.
Apr 28 16:03:00 8m 00s Super Miner 2000 Cute little game. The graphics have a nostalgic feel to them. There is a bug that prevents me from progressing though. I keep falling through platforms, and eventually I fall through the bottom of the level and get stuck. Maybe this is because of the low framerate (less than 10fps). Also I get no sound, is there supposed to be sound? I am running this on Linux, Firefox.
Apr 28 21:33:00 5h 30m Miner Fish I think the graphics are simplistic, but the game is good fun. There is quite a bit of strategy involved in this game. Maybe it's better to have the mineable blocks in other places than just at the bottom.
Apr 28 21:40:00 7m 00s Sub Aquam Adventure Funny game, sort of like lunar lander on acid! Found it very hard to get hang of the controls.
Apr 28 21:50:00 10m 00s The Dead Beneath Great shooting action! Only I think this game needs a better goal. Right now you can just sit in one spot and patiently shoot everything that spawns in front of you. How about making the player run around to collect things?
Apr 28 23:35:00 1h 45m Eat Champ Really interesting game. This must be the most original game I've seen this LD.
Apr 29 16:43:00 17h 08m Seismic Charge A really interesting idea. It needs a losing condition though. I think you could also add more strategy by indicating direction as well as location. The game worked fine on Linux.
Apr 29 17:19:00 36m 00s Octopi: The Descent Wow, that was weird! I like the 3D objects. I had trouble aiming the grab though, it seems to go into another direction than my swipe.
Apr 29 17:56:00 37m 00s Maniac PengMaku!! One of the best games I've played yet! I would have liked to see more colour in the enemies, and pressing 'z' 120 times when giving the fish seems a little pointless. But other than that, great fun!
Apr 29 22:05:00 4h 09m Finish Him! Very effective presentation. Would love to see a longer game like this.
Apr 29 22:17:00 12m 00s Moai Novel idea, worth exploring further. Great presentation, I especially like the music. As is, the game is lacking in strategic choices. I saved all the moai the first time round by clicking rapidly and moving the box left and right like mad.
May 19 20:40:00 478h 23m Piopio LD29 I like the graphics and procedurally generated screens, which produce an environment that is interesting to explore. It's nice to find out what items do and how to use them. I got hold of the chest but then got stuck in dark rooms.
May 19 22:33:00 1h 53m Square Runner This looks like a simple fun game. However, the game moves very slowly, is it supposed to do that? I ran this in Linux/Wine. The player also moves too slow to catch more than a couple of zombies with a power pill.
May 19 22:50:00 17m 00s Tremors This entry contains some interesting ideas. The intro looks really cool. Unfortunately I didn't get to hear any music in chrome linux.
