My only complaint would be that we have to walk back to each temple after dying (I know, the game is hardcore, but since we die very often, It's more annoying than fun to walk back to the bosses over and over). <br/> <br/>One of the best games i've played so far! |

Movement is a bit strange at start (and sometimes a bit "choppy", like when collecting rosebud), but I rapidly get used to it. I laughed at some options like the phone ones (and also to the fact that you can literally cut the phone off if you move away without hanging it - poor ol' Kane without a wireless phone!). <br/> <br/>Bref, bravo pour ce premier jeu très sympathique ! :) |

Maybe you should put the link & logo besides the games instead, it'll get the same ad effect without disturbing players ;). |

I really enjoyed this game, I think I spend about 15 minutes playing it (yeah, I'm not that skilled on dexterity game!). <br/> <br/>You managed to create a kinda addictive game, each time I fail, I want to "try one last time, I promise", but I end up playing for longer than I thought at first ! <br/> <br/>Regarding performance, I use Firefox on a very old netbook computer (a first generation eee-pc), and It lags horribly in normal mode, but plays like a charm in fast mode. And I would totally like to play such a game on an Android tablet :). <br/> <br/>Regarding improvements, maybe a soft background music would be nice, and maybe also some aesthetics modifications (such as a bit more animation on the circles or stuff like that), but you already nailed the hardest part: the difficult curve that keeps player entertained! <br/> <br/>Sorry for the long comment, but I really really enjoyed your game! |

Your gameplay ideas is very great! I like the music, and the backstory. <br/> <br/>If you want to do a post-compo version, maybe a tutorial would help people understand how the minigames works (It took me a long time to figure out where to click in the asking minigame in order to only have one circle left). | Dec 18 16:57:00 | 29m 00s | Gasha-power | Very beautiful game, I love the art style! <br/> <br/>Regarding perfomance, It is quite slow with my old netbook computer (a first generation eee-pc), and the web version feels likes as slow as the desktop windows one (which works btw). <br/> <br/>I've seen your journal entry about performance issues, and I think for the next jams, if you are still wishing to make a flash-based pixel art platformer, you should try Flixel, it'll run way faster for such a game. Because with the classical Flash IDE you are using the "display list" approach (movieclip & co.), which is a very slow method of rendering if you create one big movieclip for the whole level. Indeed, as your whole level is one big object, Flash as to redraw it entirely on everyframe, hence the lags. IMHO I think you should put your levels elements (objects, ennemies, etc.) directly on stage, and move all of them each frame. And if they are outside the screen, try to turn their "visibility" attribute to "false" so they are no longer rendered. That should help a little. <br/> <br/>Anyway, congrats on your work for this entry! |

Maybe you should try to create enemies on a more varied time span, and also try to add some randomness on the octopus movement so it doesn't "just" move back and forth a the bottom of the screen.
