Aug 27 19:07:00 Human Evolution Nice game, a bit simple, but very enjoyable. :)
Aug 28 04:46:00 9h 39m Place of Origin I really liked the atmosphere of this game. The theme really appealed to me, and it had a certain artistic appeal even though the graphics weren't that good. I also love what you did with the music, how it sounds between the two worlds.

However, there were some technical issues that bothered me, like seams in the artwork, etc. The movement feels really good once you are moving fast, but it's so frustratingly sluggish when you start moving. I wish the minimum speed was just tuned up a bit.

I don't really see the "Evolution" theme in here at all.
Aug 28 05:31:00 45m 00s Evo Nice music. I like the graphics and how the robot morphs.

I don't think it's that fun, though. I don't really like the puzzles, I found it a bit frustrating.
Aug 28 05:57:00 26m 00s Cat Evolution! It's a bit hard to get into, but I figured it out and beat the whole thing.

I like the idea of killing individual cats, but I never wanted to do it. First of all, I hate the idea of killing my own cats, even in a silly game. If they were worms or beetles, it might work better. Second, the gameplay is just too slow and tedious if you are trying to individually pick off cats. If you want killing weak individuals to be part of the gameplay, maybe each level needs to be smaller/shorter and the mechanic needs to be easier to read.

I think the ideas in here are pretty good though, and I love this take on the Evolution theme. Good work!
Aug 28 06:14:00 17m 00s A Story of a Tree I think using sound effects you didn't make yourself is against the rules.

Did this seed fall from space? I don't get it.

Not a lot of gameplay or fun going on here.
Aug 28 06:38:00 24m 00s CellAnt I think this is pretty neat, and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately it's very confusing, and I don't think the game design quite works.

It's too hard to select individual ants once you get more than a handful, and it's way too hard to keep track of which ant is leveling which stats.

I ended up leveling Reproduction first (because digging is boring, and you can't seem to level Attacking without other ants to fight) and I quickly ended up with WAY too many ants... they proceeded to multiply until my framerate died.

Maybe there should be a food limit or something that limits how many ants you can have, and it would also help if there were a better way of keeping track of your ants.
Aug 28 06:52:00 14m 00s Evo Pretty fun! Reminds me of Lemmings quite a bit. I think this is a pretty solid puzzle mechanic - I feel like you could make a lot of levels out of this. Good work!
Aug 28 07:03:00 11m 00s Dragonom The art is pretty cool. What a cute little dragon!

Not a very fun game, though. Most of the game was waiting for my mana bar to refill.
Aug 28 07:13:00 10m 00s Urban Sprawl I like the idea of making a town in a random environment. I think you could have done a better job of making the environment affect how you build the town, though.

I didn't really get the strategy, it seemed like each building had some cost over time, but I couldn't tell how much it was. So it was hard to use much strategy.
Aug 28 07:24:00 11m 00s ThroughoutTheAges I was wondering why my health bar wasn't centered... turns out I had -250 health and the game was rendering my negative hit points off to the left.

I'm not really sure what to make of this, it seems very buggy and unfinished, and I'm not sure what it's supposed to be. Sorry.
Aug 28 07:35:00 11m 00s Primordial Pool It's kind of frustrating when an enemy spawns on you and you immediately shrink.

The followers seem kinda useless.

It's weird that when two blobs are about equal size, the slightly larger one immediately absorbs the smaller one.

Nice work, I can definitely see this being expanded on.
Aug 28 14:49:00 7h 14m Defend The Galaxy Not a bad start, but the gameplay is a bit too simple. It's frustrating to aim at the circles. Not sure where the Evolution theme is.
Sep 7 04:51:00 230h 02m The SuperBugs I found 3 weapons and beat the game.

The particle effects and character animation were pretty cool (given the time limit), but the game design could use some work.

- The level was large and confusing, with no real purpose. It just seemed sort of random.
- Combat wasn't too fun (except seeing the crazy particles from the flamethrower). The enemies were too annoying to bother killing, and I mostly just ran past them.
- The complex evolution thing you described seems like a waste, because I totally didn't notice it when I was playing. (Probably because I wasn't killing the enemies.) I bet it was fun to code, but I don't think it worked very well in terms of gameplay.

Still, good work!
Sep 7 05:00:00 9m 00s Those Stupid Aliens I like the graphics, especially the scrolling stars.

The game itself is a bit boring, just seems like a clickfest to me. I didn't notice the enemies evolving really. It seems pretty random whether I get hit or not, because I can't really dodge.
Sep 7 05:10:00 10m 00s Garbage Man: Return to Earth [HD] This was pretty fun, and I love the music. I don't really think it has anything to do with evolution, though.

It might be cool if there were a few more items you could pick up. Also, it would be nice if you could move items around once they are on your "ship".
Sep 7 05:16:00 6m 00s The Last Creationist Funny, cute game. It doesn't seem like it's implemented that well, as the controls are sketchy and there are a few glitches. Still, nice work.
Sep 17 04:02:00 238h 46m Sustenance Trying to blend in is a cool idea, but the game becomes dull very quickly. I stayed alive for 5-6 minutes or so, and was left with a feeling of "Why did I keep playing for so long?" :)

Good job on the execution, I just wish it had a bit more to it.
Sep 17 04:15:00 13m 00s Seed Feed Nice and relaxing, nice music. Not that much fun, though. :) Good work.
Sep 17 04:22:00 7m 00s Robot wars I'm not really sure how to rate this. It's kind of neat, but the interactivity is so minimal that it's almost not really a game. It's pretty buggy, also. Good take on the theme, but I'm not sure it works that well as a game.
Sep 17 04:53:00 31m 00s Omega Architecture Really great job.

I didn't really get the evolution strategy... it seemed like I pretty much evolved stuff at random, and eventually I won. I never figured out how to put points into Heat/Cold resistance or any other changes/upgrades, but apparently it didn't matter that much. Overall, the strategy aspect seemed pretty half-baked, but there is definitely some potential here.

Love the music and story.
Sep 17 05:20:00 27m 00s End Humanity! This was one of the most fun games I've played so far. I think keeping your idea small worked to your advantage. :)

The upgrades were fun, but I would have liked a bit more variety in the types of upgrades I could get. (For example, a spread/multishot upgrade, or better cocoon armor, or whatever.)

Graphics are OK for the time spent. :) Graphics aren't too important in a game like this.

Impressed that you had any music at all, I didn't have time for anything.

Good work!
