| Dec 20 16:40:00 | The Tale of Mister | Nice art, but weird weird character controls... can't pass the first few levels. But you made that in 9 hours - that's something! | |
| Dec 20 16:49:00 | 9m 00s | Lonesome Cowboy | Sources only? Meh. |
| Dec 20 17:15:00 | 26m 00s | Senile Quest I | Uncle Poppy is creepy, indeed. Couldn't get outside his store. Brrr :) Point and clicks aren't really my cup of tea either. |
| Dec 22 15:55:00 | 46h 40m | You Are Alone | Not bad considering you struggled against technical issues. Oh, one thing: next time try to support AZERTY, it's simply using W *and* Z for forward and A *and* Q for left: http://www.mcfunkypants.com/molehill/controls.png. |
| Dec 22 16:07:00 | 12m 00s | The Cheese Stands Alone | For some reason Google displays a "Missing plugin" error, and I had to open the swf directly: http://games.temperancexiv.com/ld22/game.swf. And it crashed after a while. Still, nice interpretation of the theme, and well implemented. |
| Dec 22 16:12:00 | 5m 00s | Missin Kitten | Same here... this needs a standalone exe. |
| Dec 22 16:27:00 | 15m 00s | KIitty | Nice graphics but that's it. Can't jump with Chrome/HTML5. Can't move with Chrome/Flash. Managed to move with Windows exe but looks like entering this cathouse just freezes the game, dunno if something was supposed to happen here. Oh and I see you were as inspired as me by the theme as your game features a lonely kitty, just like mine, and probably 500 others :P |
| Dec 25 10:36:00 | 66h 09m | Lonely Weredot | Yup... no Mac at hand to test this :-/ |
| Dec 25 10:55:00 | 19m 00s | Sokobot | Got the game from the link given by Fenmar, downloaded & installed Ruby from here: <br/>http://files.rubyforge.vm.bytemark.co.uk/rubyinstaller/rubyinstaller-1.9.3-p0.exe <br/> <br/>And... nope, doesn't run: <br/> <br/>ld22.rb:212: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting keyword_then or ',' or ';' or '\n' <br/>ld22.rb:216: syntax error, unexpected keyword_when, expecting keyword_end <br/> when 3: <br/> ^ <br/>ld22.rb:223: syntax error, unexpected keyword_when, expecting keyword_end <br/> when 4: <br/> ^ <br/>ld22.rb:232: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting keyword_then or ',' or ';' or '\n' <br/>ld22.rb:236: syntax error, unexpected keyword_when, expecting keyword_end <br/> when 3: <br/> ^ <br/>ld22.rb:243: syntax error, unexpected keyword_when, expecting keyword_end <br/> when 4: <br/> ^ <br/>ld22.rb:252: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting keyword_then or ',' or ';' or '\n' <br/>ld22.rb:256: syntax error, unexpected keyword_when, expecting keyword_end <br/> when 3: <br/> ^ <br/>ld22.rb:263: syntax error, unexpected keyword_when, expecting keyword_end <br/> when 4: <br/> ^ <br/>ld22.rb:267: syntax error, unexpected keyword_end, expecting $end |
| Dec 25 11:09:00 | 14m 00s | Starlighter | Not really finished, you obviously missed some time, but I still think you were going in the right direction :) |
| Dec 25 11:14:00 | 5m 00s | AL One - Artificial Lifeform #001 | Can't run under Windows XP, even with Cg installed. Too bad, this looked interesting :-/ |
| Dec 27 16:59:00 | 53h 45m | Alone In Space | Nice sounds, nice game. The controls are a bit sloppy though, I'd expect to go 45° if I press right and up, and *continue walking* if I release one key. |
| Dec 27 17:18:00 | 19m 00s | Alone | Runs for me on Windows XP, with the python DLL. Nice start, I wish this game had an end :) |
| Dec 27 17:40:00 | 22m 00s | Statue | Got stuck in a hole as well, after I found a red cap. The random double jump made me give up too, but that's a shame, I like the art and I wish the controls would respond better. |
| Dec 27 17:52:00 | 12m 00s | Oases | I'm playing on a WinXP laptop, and the game says my wireless is disabled and quits. I thought this might be because I'm using an Intel driver, so I tried switching to the regular Windows one, but nope. Too bad, this sounded interesting :-/ |
| Dec 27 17:57:00 | 5m 00s | shoot stab sprint save shooter battle | Erf, just one pad at hand, can't test this :/ |
| Dec 27 18:38:00 | 41m 00s | Alone Game | Well I guess my video card is just too bad to play this: <br/> <br/>>java -jar alonegame.jar <br/>dÚc. 27, 2011 7:35:47 PM com.jme3.app.Application handleError <br/>Grave: Uncaught exception thrown in Thread[LWJGL Renderer Thread,5,main] <br/>java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: GLSL and OpenGL2 is required for the LWJGL renderer! <br/> at com.jme3.renderer.lwjgl.LwjglRenderer.initialize(LwjglRenderer.java:166) <br/> at com.jme3.system.lwjgl.LwjglContext.initContextFirstTime(LwjglContext.java:131) <br/> at com.jme3.system.lwjgl.LwjglContext.internalCreate(LwjglContext.java:168) <br/> at com.jme3.system.lwjgl.LwjglAbstractDisplay.initInThread(LwjglAbstractDisplay.java:128) <br/> at com.jme3.system.lwjgl.LwjglAbstractDisplay.run(LwjglAbstractDisplay.java:205) <br/> at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) |
| Jan 3 18:05:00 | 167h 27m | The Amazing but Lonesome Adventures of Greg the Spaceman | Strange: the game runs but I can't get the ship to move. Z, left, right don't do anything, and P just make it explode. I tried playing around with keys.txt but no cigar. I'm using Windows XP on a rather old laptop, maybe too old for this. |
| Jan 5 15:39:00 | 45h 34m | Alone | Doesn't run for me. Looks like you're using the "HiDef" profile, probably too much for my old laptop. I've got a message box that says this: <br/> <br/>No suitable graphics card found. <br/>Could not find a Direct3D device that supports the XNA Framework HiDef profile. <br/>Verify that a suitable graphics device is installed. <br/>Make sure the desktop is not locked, and that no other application is running in full screen mode. <br/>Avoid running under Remote Desktop or as a Windows service. <br/>Check the display properties to make sure hardware acceleration is set to Full. |
| Jan 5 16:35:00 | 56m 00s | Not Quite Alone | Same here. Damn HiDef profile, this thing hates me. |
| Jan 7 10:49:00 | 42h 14m | Alone in Translation | No Mac at hand to play and rate this. |
| Jan 7 11:09:00 | 20m 00s | Limbus Kitten | Missing dll too. I got libgcc from here: http://pt.sourceforge.jp/projects/sfnet_openmarias/downloads/libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll/. And then libstdc++ from here: http://code.google.com/p/wtfu/downloads/detail?name=libstdc%2B%2B-6.dll&can=2&q=. And it worked :) (in sandboxed mode, Avast doesn't like all this) <br/> <br/>So you should package those two dlls, or maybe check this post on stackoverflow to remove the need: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4702732/the-program-cant-start-because-libgcc-s-dw2-1-dll-is-missing. <br/> <br/>Indeed, it's buggy, but I wouldn't say it's crap. I agree with Aslai that you could have done something really interesting with a bit more polish. The enemies are too fast, the camera rotation is awkward, and the most annoying of all: you can outrun the camera which removes all chance to see the enemies coming. Oh and there's no audio (at least for me). All this prevented me from finishing the game. |
| Jan 7 11:24:00 | 15m 00s | <ENTER NAME HERE> | Couldn't get really far, I had the same issues than summaky. Want this sword! Han! Can't get to it, bats are too fast for me, if I try going up to avoid them I'm sent back to the previous room. Raah :) Frustrating! Still, i's a nice entry and with a bit more polish it could have ended fun. |
| Jan 7 11:44:00 | 20m 00s | Co-op Alone | Finally, a game with muic, yey :) Decent graphics too, shame there's no way to make the winow larger. But... I got stuck quite early, as I tend to loose patience really fast with this kind of game. |
| Jan 7 12:04:00 | 20m 00s | 4l0n3 | Nice entry! Controls are a bit sloppy, but overall that's a nice concept, and well executed. Just one thing: I reached the (final?) room that said I won the game and I could create blocks pressing Z. But nothing happens when I press Z, that's unfair :) Maybe because my keyboard is azerty? |
| Jan 7 12:23:00 | 19m 00s | Alone in Space | Good entry, shame there's no ending. Oh and please, don't assume everybody has a qwerty keyboard. Try to support azerty for us poor French people, it's simply using W *and* Z for forward/thrust and A *and* Q for left: http://www.mcfunkypants.com/molehill/controls.png. |
| Jan 7 14:28:00 | 2h 05m | Kitten's Missions | Yeah, so you're not helping a lot to rate your game. I had to install python, then pygame, then I figured the versions were too recent to run this, so I had to install older ones (if anybody wonders, python 2.5.4 + python 1.9.1). Then I had to create dummies for missing images, as other commenters say here.... So I could finally play the game. Meh. <br/> <br/>Those two levels are actually quite fun, but of course no way to finish the game due to the missing assets. It's a real shame you didn't package this correctly. |
| Jan 7 14:40:00 | 12m 00s | Alone | So, the only option is a suicidal leap of faith. Interesting. By that, do you mean we're all losers? Or is this a deep study about how futile the modern society is, as we keep jumping around until the inevitable fall? |
| Jan 7 14:47:00 | 7m 00s | Never Bocce Alone | No mac, can't run, can't rate. |
| Jan 7 14:57:00 | 10m 00s | The Search | I barely have time for one turn before judging ends, but OK, I'm in :) |
| Jan 7 15:01:00 | 4m 00s | Frosthome | Can't play, crashes for me too. |
| Jan 7 15:04:00 | 3m 00s | Hubris | Error 404... Shame. |
| Jan 7 15:15:00 | 11m 00s | I don't want to be alone! | Yeey! I made it too! Nice idea, and nice job considering the time you spent. |
| Jan 7 15:28:00 | 13m 00s | Lonely Dungeon | So, there's an end, but it takes some self control to not halt the game before it, as this guy is so sloooooooow. Shame we can't move a bit faster. Just a bit. |
