What made you choose SDL2 over SDL3 in the modern day? about a year ago I made a game in SDL3 and that was before it was officially out so I was building the library from source code but still was not expecting to see SDL2 again. Other than that I don't time right now to finish the whole game but I played through a bunch of the map and it seems really solid, I would make the stick guy walk a little faster or add a run key because it does take forever to walk through a bunch of levels sometimes but other than that I do really enjoy how this turned out. Went in expecting a 5 minute adventure, came out with a whole free short quality game!

The game does not work at all on the ludum dare page for me, just shows a white screen. The itch page worked though but I would recommend either making the letters fall slower or making their hitboxes bigger because it was so difficult to click smaller letters like J or I. overall was a pretty cool experience though and you took advantage of the graphics features of unity which I loved to see.

Hello @ace17, thank you for the kind words! To clarify, there is a different locked door texture when you play it standalone or on the itch.io web build, for some reason we found issues storing save data when we play on the ludum site so idk might be a godot thing. You're completely right about needing some sort of indication for damage and the looping issues with the music, definitely would fix these in a future non-ludum-dare version of the project. Also I run Linux (NixOS) on my device so thats why the linux build was first so I could test stuff easier but overall thank you so much for the advice and I wish you the best in the jam!
