Actually pretty sweet! Way more fun than expected and when the words turned upside down I almost lost immediately hahaha.
Do they still teach typing in schools? This would be such a good way to gamify it - well, with this concept and a less dark theme.
One suggestion, for what it's worth: when you miss a word, reset the screen or something? It was pretty easy to miss one word and then not be able to recover. Maybe that's intentional though.
What you built was pretty cool, and fun enough to play. The dynamic of swapping between the characters was nice, the combat was a bit clunky with so much delay on starting the attack.
Edit: Tutorialization was well done.
The art style is cool, the art content is a bit tasteless in my opinion (but hey, we all have our own opinions).
I gave a fair rating, but it was somewhat classless to leave a rude comment on my team's project when many (probably most) participants in my team are amateurs/hobbyists/students just trying to learn.

Definitely appreciate everyone taking the time to check out our game! I do apologize for some bugs and crashes but... as you have noticed this was quite an ambitious project. A bunch of us are dedicated to cleaning up as many of the show stopping bugs as possible and getting new builds posted that will hopefully allow for a full play through.
So if you liked what you experienced in the beginning - please check back and see if a new build (with patch notes) was uploaded to Itch!

We have pushed up an insane number of bug fixes - that should allow for a full play through of the experience (of course with some minor bugs still lingering, but no freezing on NPC interactions).

@maxflav Hey - are you by chance playing on macOS? I believe this bug was reported by one of our team members but weirdly enough another member using macOS wasn't able to replicate it heh.
I haven't been able to replicate on Windows or Linux - but yes, there should be text there that communicates various combat abilities.
@maxflav M series chip or intel chip? We're trying to narrow down the issue heh. So far it seems like the intel chips aren't affected but M series are. Very weird stuff.

@vivid-hallucination This was some awesome feedback, and very fair criticism! The combat system went through a few iterations due to needing to cut down on scope with such a tight time constraint. That being said, we definitely have some work to do to make it feel better AND be more understandable for the player.

Music was fantastic. Simple game but fun :)
Any way to update the Itch page to support larger resolution - it was hard for me to see what I was doing... I sort of made it work by leaning in and squinting though hahaha
