Pretty difficult once you get to the Air Mage, and has a problem with it (the spawning is weird, I spent almost two minutes just walking around trying to find enemies). But an otherwise good comp game.
I'm getting the same error unfortunately. :(
A cute game that's reasonably challenging and makes great use of the theme. Extra points for making a game with Tiny Tim around Christmas too. :)
I like it. The art style, the story, the choices you have to make.
But am I missing something? I can only find a total of four items, and I've taken them all to the mother, and chose all of the options, and I'm not sure there's any "good" ending. Maybe I'm missing something.
When you said "prepare to be confused" in the game, you were absolutely right. It took me a while to get used to the random controls, but even when I did, I didn't really. :P
But the game is well done. It's a great use of the theme, and I can see this getting pretty highly rated.
Apparently everybody is your granny (or is it uncle?)? XD
I dunno why, but I found this game beautiful, even with the tiny sprites and simple graphics. I especially liked the music, and the gameplay is great, having to be careful not to let spiders know you're near, and if they catch onto you to run away as fast as possible.
Very well done. :)
This seems like it would be fun to get into, but unfortunately I think I may just be bad at it (or not understanding something). Spells will never kill the monsters, and I always end up getting killed.
@ObsidianSkin: Thanks. I kinda came into Ludum Dare later than other people, because I don't usually pay attention to other comps that aren't on GameJolt. But I changed my mind when I saw the number of people entering it.
@benjih: I was trying to go for a Game & Watch look and feel, but I just didn't have time to really make graphics that really resembled G&W (like the base "shadows" that the sprites appear in, whatever they're called).
A simple game with a simple storyline, the whole thing is almost minimalist in a way, but the execution makes it wholly fun and enjoyable. I found myself playing it over and over again, just trying to get more than two flowers. XD
