LD38 — A Small World

This was fun for a while. I like physics puzzlers, and the puzzles are neat.

Unfortunately, though, this seemed more like a proof of concept than a game. A few comments:

* The first level with the sniper was good. It was a little annoying getting killed by the sniper when just trying to get the controls down, but figuring out to drill away boxes and then push them great! I wish there were more puzzles having to do with the boxes. * The drill is definitely too loud, I muted my sound to keep playing. * The fire was cool, but there wasn't any real puzzle to it. * The riddle is too ambiguous. It probably seems straightforward to you, but "Santa, Sky, Sea, Sunset" while I know it's hinting at the colors and ordering, that's about it. I got stuck there and while I know there was more game, I got too frustrated to try all the permutations.

Overall, I like the humor, and I think you have the start for a good game here. Thanks!

SLINGSHOOT by chaoclypse 2017-04-27T13:07:45Z

Neat! I got 154 on the first try, but it was just starting to get really hectic, which is always fun with these kinds of shooters.

I really like the concept of being able to use your gravitational field to slingshot back to enemies, but I found this wasn't really necessary. I ended up just going around in a big circle and letting them shoot straight and hope they hit each other, and thus not very strategic. Maybe there can be an additional incentive to use the slingshot which would increase the strategic element?

Overall, a very smooth, polished-feeling game (animations and sound help with that), good difficulty ramp up, and got hectic in a good way. Thanks!

The End and the Beginning by Zitao YE 2017-05-01T12:13:36Z

The music and desire of not wanting to kill enemies are very much at odds with traditional shooters, and it made for a very interesting mood, and I almost felt bad progressing through the level.

The controls and balance were good, I had some close moments while dodging the enemy fire.

It seems the text itself is supposed to be a "player" but there didn't seem to be any way to interact with the text.

I played through twice. Thanks!

Godly Corp. by Zeriver 2017-05-01T14:33:05Z

I enjoyed this a lot! Very clever, good use of the theme, it was difficult at first but I was able to win the day after a few tries.

My only complaint is that the mouse controls were difficult, but I am on Mac and so I had to use the web version. I imagine full screen it would've been easier.

Nicely done!
