The mechanics are simple, but effective. The characters and environment look fine (though the perpetually burning fuse is a bit misleading - I thought I had a time limit). At any rate, I got 30 gems, couldn't figure out how to continue, and stopped. I also didn't see anything that could be called an unconventional weapon, unless you were going for "these personified bombs are no longer conventional weapons".
The game has nice assets and music, and using a banana as a weapon is certainly unconventional... but that gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. Varied spawn locations rather than static ones would make this a lot more challenging. Or maybe a larger zone overall. Additionally, you might want to despawn the banana when the player dies (or prevent it from blowing up the bombs after death).
"I'll meet her again!" Nice job on your game. I did think it was a bit short and a bit grindy for being so short, but I may have just been missing the point. It actually reminded me on playing Dying Eyes on my Ti-86, years ago, so thanks for the memories as well!
