LD28 — You Only Get One

Seed by deadlypear 2013-12-22T00:01:00

Thanks for playing and commenting! Of course we had further ideas for this... that you'd only get one seed, but you would get multiple helpful items such as watering can, compost, etc. to battle and direct the growth versus the weeds taking over... so yeah, more interactive. Right now it's just pick a spot and watch it grow, but hey, it's just a seed of an idea... and we had a fun time making it for the jam. :-)

The One - A Tale of Bliss or Sorrow by ploogle 2013-12-21T23:46:00

Bumping baskets to find the one. At first, I found myself asking the question: How do you know when you've found "the one"? And knowing the answer is: you'll know. Sure enough, found it! Great serene soundtrack; really evokes drifting.

Save Zoe by Lorenzo MaierĂº 2013-12-22T00:24:00

So... I suck at platformers with the keyboard... slipping all over the place. Overall beautiful pixel art graphics and animation and nice soundtrack. Nice concept and separation of bear and girl (two independent health bars).

Human Invasion ! by LatFoued 2013-12-22T00:16:00

Simple, creative twist on the human vs. zombie infection theme. And funny - also loved the zombie-converted-to-human exploding. Great for your first game! Keep at it.

Lumen by Nelien 2013-12-22T01:11:00

Impressive! Found myself actually holding my breath. Love how the atmospheric soundtrack (yes, best with headphones!) is the first impression into this deep, dark underwater world. Challenging in the right ways; well thought out level design and beautiful art support each other. Liked the game mechanic of separating and rejoining with the light. Controls could use tweaking, for example: a) able to use arrow keys and/or WASD; b) all keyboard: spacebar or shift + direction to release light; c) and/or all mouse. Switching back and forth pulls me back out of the immersion of the game... and it is VERY immersive. Overall, great game! Run, er... swim with this idea!

Get a Job! by Coin Flip Games 2013-12-22T01:56:00

Nice, different take on the theme. Solid game mechanic. Nix the tutorial, but make the game play itself more intuitive. Enjoyed the music and concept.

Midnight Minigun by jimmypaulin 2013-12-22T02:24:00

Took me four tries until I figured out what I was supposed to do (hold down the mouse to shoot - there's a delay), but FUN once I got the hang of it. Had to refrain from shooting everything that moved and only shoot the zombies - ha! Scored over 800. Great eerie music and gruesome sounds - lots of atmosphere.
PS. Time lapse video of the process is a nice touch.

Christmas Cookie Craze by UndergroundPixel 2013-12-22T20:35:00

LOL funny from the beginning - nice work weaving humour through every aspect of the game. Cute soundtrack, great pixel art and animation. Gameplay is not original, but FUN in any case. Really polished. Kudos to the whole team. Big love for the bonus in-game log channel!
