I loved the music and simplicity of the idea. The whole game worked well given you didn't have much time to make it.
One of the better games I've played so far!

Not bad for your first LD! It was mine too, and I used Unity!
Graphics isn't my strong point either! Regardless though they had a certain charm , the character reminds me a bit of those enemies in Heart Of Darkness (PS1).
It would've been good to have seen some sort of score system, and death! In the end I tried to die by running in to the enemies but that didn't seem to work. I've found that feedback to the player is really important - I had an issue with life bars (a problem you clearly didn't have!) which I think is more important than graphics, sound etc.
All in all nice, and glad you made it to the end with something to show for it!
On a side note, first time I opened your web link my browser crashed. It didn't load in the end and I had to kill my browser (using Chrome btw). Second time it froze the browser but loaded after about 10 seconds. This might put less patient folk off, so I'd recommend looking at that :)
thanks for the feedback both!
@GAFBlizzard - the coal is there, it's just quite hard to see with a black background (it's very dark grey). The emitters definitely work, but I wanted to have a health bar on both buildings and enemies, which I didn't have time for though.
And it is a sonic emitter prime. Damn hardcoded font sizes...
@dector, I haven't got any plans right now - I've been busy moving house and jobs!
I'll get round to playing all your games soon hopefully!
it is a bug - an undeground bug ;)
The sonic emitters slowly damage the underground creatures. If I had an extra day (I started about 2pm Saturday!) I would have included some extra UI features, like health bars and maybe labels on the buildings to say what they do.
I like this take on physics. I haven't seen this before (using waves to affect the game world). Other than the dodgy level design (I managed 3 levels before getting an impossible course) this has potential!
