LD30 — Connected Worlds

Mammoth Monkey Mole by ehtd 2014-08-25T20:19:00

Fun little game! My only complaint is the control scheme; buttons are spread out in a way that I often reset the game or switch between the animals on accident. Could just be me though. Audio/Graphics are fine enough (I like how each animal has a different walking sound). Very clever use of the theme. Great work!

Chain The Planets! by Animan 2014-08-26T16:52:00

Thanks for all the kind words so far! Certainly aware of not just the "planets stuck off-screen bug", but also how planets chained together but not necessarily attached to you will still add up points. Both of these will certainly be fixed soon once the Compo is finished.

I'd also like to fix the asteroids to where it isn't so luck-based when it comes to avoiding them. This was my first game with a vertical aspect ratio, and I didn't realize just HOW big an impact that could have on such things lol.

My high score is 7216.

Man, that was crazy! It's like Zoop, Columns, and Tetris sorta rolled into this bizarre mess of a puzzle game, yet I love it! That clicking sound still resonates in my head... My only suggestion would be to show the tutorial sometime before the game begins.

Very cool! I suck at these types of "multi-tasking" games, but I can still appreciate this one. Very polished. Will probably put on my Windows 8 tablet to play more. :)

Relative to Scale by Peach Pie Productions 2014-08-26T03:01:00

Very good! It did remind me heavily of Spore (although I get what you were trying to do, with the 5 stories connected without one another knowing). Audio was a little grating, and I do kinda wish I could use the arrow keys instead of WASD when I'm also using the spacebar, but those are the only complaints I have for an otherwise solid game. :)

Planet Magumi by Kato 2014-08-26T03:21:00

Very awesome start (love the intro and the overall polish in the beginning), but the combat was kinda "bleh". The lack of animation on the enemies that showed I hit them (combined with the multiple hitpoints they had), I had no way of knowing whether my hits registered or not. Also agree with ninjascript that there has to be a way to restart when you die instead of going through the intro again. Will have to check this one out if it goes anywhere after the jam! :)
