This is a great game and I'm genuinely shock you guys were able to make it in under 72 hour. The art was great and I really love all the little animations that just made the game come alive. The humor was also on point with all the fantastically written descriptions. Overall you guys did a great job!!!

Awesome game!! The art is great (I really loved the mountains in the background) and the fire mechanic is interesting but what really stood out out to me is the level design. All the chalegese were fun and difficult so playing thorough them all was a blast!

I really liked the art and sound design. I wasn't as big of a fan of the core loop since after a while it felt like it was impossible to fix everything in time. Still a great game though!!

Long Live Kipo!!!

Seriously though this was an impressive game. I have no idea how you made that much quality art in just 72 hours. The 2.5D style with the bookcases leaning back was also fantastic. The animations were also great and made everything feel more alive. The sound design was also fantastic and really helped set the mood. I do have a few pieces of critique but honestly most of them just come down to it being a game jam and you don't have time for everything. The first is that the game felt too easy. Ghosts were very easy to avoid and I never really needed to worry about the courage meter. Second is that the level design didn't seem too well thought out. It's serviceable but I would have liked to see more tight spaces or more areas where the ghosts could come at me in diffrent directions at once. Overall though I'm still amazed at how much you guys were able to do in just 72 hours so congratulations on making a great game!!!

Time Isn't Real by Brandon McDonald 2022-10-03T23:30:51Z

The idea of rewinding time is a intesting one. Programing that in unity could not have been easy so kudos to your programmer for pulling it off. However I think in this case it was too ambitious for a 72 hour game jam. Rather than being interesting the constant rewinding just got frustrating as whenever I began to make progress it was instantly taken away. The slippery controls also didn't help as they made doing even the simplest of tasks frustrating. Finlay while the rewinding was impressive it was also very buggy with soft locks occurring when the player get stuck in the box. Overall its a very interesting mechanic but I think your ambition outweighed your apatite. Great job for your first jam though. I hope guys you do another Ludum Dare since it would interesting to see what else you can come up with.
