I really liked this game (even though I didn't beat it)! I haven't played too many text based games like this, but I have played some here and there growing up. I was mostly a point and click adventure gamer. Regardless, I'm happy someone out there is still making games like this in sort of a classic style!

I do want to echo others here that going back to some clues I missed in the beginning would've been helpful. I also want to add that my favorite adventure games growing up are ones that give the player multiple branching paths to go forward with the game/story, even if all those paths end up going in the same place. This game sorta felt like one straight line towards the end of the game instead of that freedom of choice.

But hey, for about 10 hours of work, I think it's great! I hope to see more from you in the future, especially if it's within the realm of puzzle/adventure games!

Sinking Hope by NuiN 2025-04-10T19:30:38Z

As a fan of horror, this game is pretty great! There is so much to love about this game, the game play, the graphics, even the use of outlines to help you retrieve objects and locate your sub. I am a big fan of the soundtrack! It really nailed the ambience and it was very nicely designed and mixed as well!

My only nitpick is that, at first, I tried to press "E" when I had the sub parts to the sub in general, and it kept dropping the parts. I didn't realize until later on I was supposed to press "E" on the light sources. I didn't realize it because I thought those were just emergency flares for added ambience.

Other than that, I really really like this game, great job!

Dante's Mini-Golf by braktheman 2025-04-10T19:11:18Z

This is the golf game from hell, in a good way! It really felt like I was playing the mini-golf version of getting over it. I wasn't able to finish it, However, as a sound guy, I thought it was a nice touch to add more instrumentation as you ascended. That added another layer to the jam theme. With the visuals and the sound choice for the instruments, it really reminds me of the DOS/ WIN95 Shareware era of games. Overall, pretty neat game!

I really like the art style. The music was also pretty good! It really made me feel the urgency. I even felt it to the point where I threw the lantern down the elevator shaft XD.

Mine Clicker by aquarock 2025-04-10T18:43:03Z

I like it! It gives me a nostalgic Atari 2600 vibe. I really like the idea of mining like this, especially using the drill, that was a lot of fun to use. It almost feels like minesweeper, but in this case, you are actually mining . My one nitpick is that when the drill and dynamite sounds are played together, they have a very similar sound and it can also be a little grating at times. Other than that, I really like where this game is going!
