The atmosphere in this game is incredible! That subtle retro line noise and audio static create such a cozy, immersive environment. The visual style of the phone book on the left combined with the row of rotary phones looks awesome and fits the "Old Tech" theme perfectly. Nailing the phone number and seeing the handset lift up with that garbled voice on the line felt super satisfying — great attention to detail! The time limit is quite brutal though, as I ran out of time right after my first successful call before I could figure out the rest. A bit stressful, but highly addictive and atmospheric for a Compo game! Wonderful job! If you get a chance, I’d be thrilled if you could check out my retro-tech ASMR cleaning simulator too!
Cool concept! I did feel it was a little difficult to actually turn the finger wheel with my mouse.

Loved the atmosphere, but dialing the numbers is torture for me xD

I don’t know if it was just me, but why have four phones? I could only make one call at a time. As soon as I pick up, I can’t touch the other phones.
I could line up all four so that each was missing just one number, then dial those final numbers. But I still had to wait for each conversation to finish, so it didn’t actually speed anything up.
Still, I liked the style and the idea. Nicely done!

Thanks for showing us exactly how the engineers built the rapid-dialing system and the push-button phones. The atmosphere is great—though I only managed to make two calls.
@incd021 Thanks for the feedback! Having multiple phones allows for making as many calls as possible; while one phone is recharging, you can use the others to reach out to different contacts.

Such a clever little concept! It feels fresh, fits the theme perfectly, and the mechanic is simple yet elegant. Maybe I’m just not familiar enough with rotary phones, but I couldn’t dial fast enough and only managed to get two calls through (sad).
A lovely game, love the concept and implementation overall. It's a bummer that you cannot use the other phones

SO STRESSING! haha, nice idea. I wasn't able to cross more than five by focusing on the largest numbers first so I had time to use more phones at the same time. But my mouse-eye coordination betrayed me :D

I played on a laptop, and man, it was so tricky to spin that wheel using the touchpad. A really fun game.
Fun game! I felt like there wasn't enough time, because I was only able to get 4 calls in on by best round. It was short (a little too short) and sweet. The simple things like the quiet buzz and the screen flicker on the edges were a really nice touch; it fit the theme. The audio/sfx and graphics were surprisingly good and I liked the retro talking. It was nostalgic, good job.

I wasn't able to use more than two phones at the same time 😄
Great game, well-made, with a really good atmosphere.
