juggling power, buoyancy and rudder feels nicely sim-like, and the colour-coded height map is a readable way to show terrain. the first level was slow to get going for me, a clear goal line would help

Is the HTML build broken? It's not loading for me after Godot's Splash screen
Ah cool entry. The ship controlled very nicely. Maybe just some player feedback on some of the controls would have been nice. For example what does the Rudder centre do? But good job.
Good concept, ship controls felt good. A high buoyancy made it a bit easy. But lot's of potential if there was a bit more complex wind system on higher altitudes.
@ntmalichi The web version is working. I tested in chrome.
I enjoyed this! Iβd love more levels with tougher, more varied challenges, but itβs a fun game for a jam. Thanks for making it!
Pretty neat little game, I think a solid entry into the Compo, controls were good and terrain worked well. Was a nice concept but just needed some more polish, improved graphics and variety imo to get to the next level.
Cool take on the theme! It's nice how all these controls makes you feel like you're onboard a complicated machine, and the "heaviness" of the ship really contributes to this feeling. Fighting the wind while managing your altitude is a nice challenge. I think I would have preferred a more direct reading of the distance to the ground instead of having both height and ground height, but that might be a matter of personal taste. Nice entry!
Great entry, the buoyancy system is a bit to slow. But cool concept that match the theme
A great take on the theme. The challenge of balancing the dirigible against the wind while giving it time to rise was fun. I particularly enjoyed trying to balance the dirigible in place with heavy wind.
It would be cool if there was also a landing aspect, where you have to safely get the dirigible back on the ground. And, as @strong99 said, more complex winds could add a bunch of challenge.
This is a really neat and solid simulation concept for a solo Compo project! The physics and the realistic "heaviness" of managing a massive airship against the wind currents are implemented very well. Juggling speed, buoyancy, and the rudder controls genuinely makes you feel like you're operating a complex, vintage machine, which fits the "Old Tech" theme perfectly.
The color-coded height map is a very smart and readable design choice to show the terrain underneath. The gameplay loop has great potential to be a relaxing, meditative experience, but it currently lacks a solid background music track or ambient sound effects to really support that slow-paced, cozy vibe. Adding a nice lofi or wind ambience would completely transform the immersion! Also, the buoyancy adjustment feels a bit too slow in some areas, but overall the core mechanics are very responsive and nicely structured for a 48-hour deadline.
Great job bringing this detailed concept to life! Thanks again for checking out my game and for the great point about the rotation controls β I really appreciate your support. Good luck with the final ratings! ππ¨π§β¨
The controls for the dirigible were surprisingly fun to play. The buoyancy was a little strange but the turning and power felt really well execute. The artwork for the ships went really well with the topological map. I couldn't figure out where the landing pad was for level 2 but otherwise I had a lot of fun with it. Thanks fofr sharing
