Solid jam experience! The mechanics are simple, intuitive, and fun to mess around with. Great execution for 72 hours! Left my ratings. Would appreciate your feedback on our game too if you have time!

@nursultan Thank you! Also really enjoyed your game
A charming little locomotive sim! Managing coal and water while keeping an eye on the route makes for a simple, hands on gameplay loop. The low-poly landscapes suit the old-tech theme perfectly great work!
For authors first game (based on the itchio account) I would say a very nice game. Alhough the WebGL wasn't getting any mouse inputs for some reason. I liked the low poly models
@lazyapegames thank you! it is my first experience in jam, so i didnt make it too much complicated. as for webGL - mouse inputs are not returning after leaving the window, you need to restart the page. sadly the bug remained in the final build:(
Very fun game. Somethink interesting, i think
I loved it! Simplicity of everything, few simple mechanics and train atmosphere are giving nice experience. And I don't care about primitive visuals. If the author created this game all by themselves, it still required effort and time. My eyes have finally relaxed after a series of games that were difficult to perceive. A game doesn't have to be revolutionary or magnificent to be good. I’m so tired of overcomplicated stuff at gamejams. Thank you for this game!
The little train is going CHUCHU CHUCHU.
@chick-chirick That made my day thank u!
Man, I really love it when a game isn’t overloaded with content and you don’t have to guess what you’re supposed to do. We actually had a similar idea involving a steam train at first, but then we decided to make a game about a boat instead.
I played your game and put it on YouTube!

I got the sense that this is a game about keeping different plates spinning, and each "plate" has a different requirement to keep you on your toes. The current implementation felt like there was a bit too much friction though, especially with needing to walk inside and outside the train. I found the game too unforgiving personally.
The rhythm of managing the coal and water supplies while heading toward West Town was surprisingly addictive. It gives a great feeling of being fully in control of the locomotive's journey.
I was stressing out a little bit, I think it's good for this genre! That's a good base to try more
@joeshanahan thank you for your effort in making video! I feel flattered :). And yes, I agree. There was a tight balance between making game too demanding and too boring. At the start I aimed for simple mechanics and more like a vibe of train, landscapes and game feel. But, balance were not what I desired 😅. Thanks for playing my game and this wise review!
A hands-on steam locomotive sim with coal, water and direction switching is a charming fit for the theme, and the low poly landscapes look good. Shame about the WebGL mouse bug, but great work for a first jam!
Nice idea and implementation. I actually was thinking about something similar for this jam :)
Someone really ought to install a window in that train. Great game, it took me a few tries to understand how to keep the train together, but once i got it it was pretty fun, good job!
Nice game! It takes the perfect amount of time to grasp and finally finish for a jam. Great entry!
The mechanics are interesting, but they aren't developed enough. The same actions are repeated throughout the entire game, which quickly becomes boring. I also felt a lack of feedback from the game—there’s no clear indication of whether what I’m doing is right or wrong.
@denissobolev Thank you for your review! I highly agree on the flaws of the game you mentioned, yep game doesnt provide you clear vision of what you need to do. I respect your honesty :>
Nice mechanics! Would like to have more tutorial things in game.
A nice idea and pretty well done! Nice 3d models and atmosphere. After finding out what to do how, it is pretty engaging!

What tripped me up was that it is a bit finicky of where some objects like to be clicked, e.g. the door to the firebox was tricky to click and the point in the middle of the screen was not visible when aiming the fuel at the fire. Together with the game running a bit laggy on my laptop, this made the game probably more difficult than intended. I was also not sure about the timing of the junctions. I didn't see any real junctions in the track (but I might have been distracted), so I had to guess whether the sign is for a junction coming some time after it, or if we have to have the lever set as we pass the sign? Maybe some distance markers and a map on the wall could be useful: we still have to look out the window to see at which distance marker we are, but we can anticipate a bit better when to set the lever.
This is such a charming and atmospheric train simulator! As a huge fan of "The Big Bang Theory", this game instantly made me feel like Sheldon Cooper in his ultimate happy place — driving a real steam locomotive! 🚂 Steam trains are just magnificent, aren't they?
The low-poly landscapes flashing outside the window look absolutely beautiful, and the overall geometry of the locomotive feels simple yet very pleasant. The core gameplay loop is super interesting, though it’s quite hardcore! I loved interacting with the mechanical levers and the firebox, but I have to admit, I struggled a lot with the water and fuel pumps. I couldn't quite figure out the correct timing for the water pump and kept failing, but even with the steep difficulty curve, the overall experience felt really cozy and engaging. Great job for a first jam entry!
Also, thank you so much for your awesome comment on my game, I really appreciate it! Best of luck with the ratings! BAZINGA! 🌾✨
@jahuth Hey! Thank you for your review. I think yes, lever and signs were the part where most of the people was confused. Some more tutorial **what** you need to do. I did plan to have a map on left side firstly, so it would be authentic and much more helpful. But sadly didnt have time. Thanks for your review!
@ynukym-academy Thank you for your thoghtful review! I'm happy lowpoly landscapes left a good impression on you. Didnt know the Sheldon fact - its funny my game associated with this! I enjoyed your game a lot, and also wish you the best with ratings!
After taking a wrong turn and flooding the piston, I made it to West Town safely in my third attempt.
I liked the low-poly graphics and thought the game mechanics worked well.
I think there is a bug where the game will not capture the mouse again after releasing it (by pressing escape in the web version).
