trippy!
Wait this is a hidden gem. I'll have to come back to this because I played it for like 30 minutes and figured out almost nothing. I was wondering why the hell the game was 1 GB but the videos are so worth it. I hope you defeat the Soapworthies one day
I solved it?? I got the location and then had to guess for the demon.
!> The star puzzle was great, I was originally counting the stars (because of the teddy bear note that mentioned "number of stars in the sky" before paying more attention to the clock. Got the location from tracing the map. Was there a VHS 1 or did I skip that somehow? I'm not sure I agree with the final demon, I was looking for one that played death games that would visit kin 1 week after a killing but there were a few that fit the bill.
These are my notes in the end (spoilers!): https://static.ldjam.com/raw/c23/b2/z/751d9.png
What a great game, y'all should be proud, this is what game jams should be like, it looks like you had a ton of fun : D
Wow, that was a strange one!
I think I also might have lucked into the demon guess with partial information, but I did get it right on my first guess with the information I had. I kept being surprised at how many more objects and containers there were, and the tapes and videos were all delightful and I can tell you guys had a ton of fun making them. I particularly liked it when the game hinted you to use an item you had all along on an object you had all along.
Would have loved a few more sound effects, etc. for interacting with the environment, and some of the UI was a little clunky (especially the submit UI, which I couldn't figure out how to hide without dragging it off screen), but ultimately it's a 72-hour jam and you guys made a really charming game.
For your hard work, I've decided to award this team the **Mixed Media Mastery** award, congrats!
"Scope this paint can, my child!"
Truly a blast to play, even though I got stuck! I couldn't solve the sticky notes/star chart puzzle (clues 4 & 5 really have me stumped). That aside, this game **exudes** charm and it's clear that you all had a lot of fun making it! I love these sorts of notebook games, and the idea of trying to unearth the weakness of a family's demonic bargain is an incredible hook. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope to see what y'all cook up next! 😸
