Great vibe!! I would suggest reducing the size of the view of the game in itch in the configurations :3
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD59 → Bad Reception

Very good mood, love the atmosphere and clever gameplay.
One word that describes this game: paranoia. So many bad people out there. Don't know who to trust. Well done!
Really fun censorship sim — gave me Papers Please vibes. Would be even better if the hint text in the top-left corner stood out a bit more (bigger/bolder font maybe).
Loved the feeling of this, the bunker was well done and visuals looked good. The gameplay was intuitive, and was cool to explore. After a while I felt a little confused when it came to what the objective was and if my inputs was helping/hindering my overall objective. I think I let some people in by pressing the green button when it showed up. Turning the buttons was enjoyable but some visual feedback might have helped me understand what I should be doing better - but that could also be I'm not very good at the game. Well done guys
@clymm Turning the frequency will lower the white noise level when you tune closer to the exact frequency the survivor outside is transmitting at. Rotating the antenna into their actual direction will raise the volume of their clean signal considerabily.
Listening to the message they are broadcasting helps you decide if you should let them in or not. It's easier to hear what they say if you tune both dials ;-)
Great mood and interesting gameplay!
I might just be too trustworthy for the apocalypse, literally everyone I let in was evil haha. I understand that turning the antenna helps the volume, but maybe it should be a little faster to turn? Overall, the concept is super cool!
Is it fallout? 😁
Certainly the aftermath, maybe a little bit closer to thenevent, who knows!
In general, fine game. Quite easy to understand what is where and how to operate. Only 2 thing that could be changed as for my opinion, the resolution on itch, as was said before and the ammount of static that you hear in the start of the game.
Thanks for playing our game and the feedback folks, it's really appreciated and we will learn from all of it
i like how the game is contained in one room and the game gives fallout. I wasn't able to interpret good from bad by the audio even after reading the posters and instructions and couldn't find much through the radio.
Could not get the web build to work unfortunately, the camera was spinning as if my mouse speed was set to like 100x
