I like the ZX spectrum and all, but this could use some screenshots of it running so we see the end result (other than just the cover shot which is obscured by the 'jam' image.

I didn't play this because I don't have a ZX Spectrum knocking around, sadly :D But that idea alone is hilarious

I know how hard it is to get your act together, come up with an idea, and bring a project to at least a jam page—you've already taken an important step. If you add a fixed build later, I'll definitely come play and update my review. In the meantime, good luck with your future projects and may you have plenty of inspiration!

If it's a zx program, you could give a web version of it using https://jsspeccy.zxdemo.org / https://github.com/gasman/jsspeccy3 or something.

@picttarge I will try to add some screenshots. Good idea. Thank you.📈 @reivilibre Thank you!😍 @sick-machine Thank you!🕹️ @baturinsky Thank you for the tip! I will consider it...💗

@picttarge First screenshot is there... I am planning to do more during following days...

Damn. Everyone is going ham this time around. I saw a megadrive one not long ago, and not ZX? haha nice jbo! The screenshots look decent. Nice job! :D

I can appreciate the fact that you're making a game for a retro computer, but that said, it's really hard to score the game if it's not actually playable. I was intrigued by the visual style of the screenshot, as it has a personality of its own. The look can definitely be achieved in a modern game engine, giving that '80s nostalgia and would reach a much broader audience to enjoy it with you.

nice graphics

silas-reinagel 2025-10-21 00:25

Is the HTML5 version coming soon?

8bitcharlie 2025-10-22 14:58

@silas-reinagel I don't know. I didn't feel good (on and off) during last 2-3 weeks. I will try to figure something out. I'm not even sure if I will be able to rate enough games. We will see...

Sinclair computers rocked my youth. I love them - especially my old ZX81 which has been my first experience as an indie dev (this word did not exist at this time). I have full respect for those who continue developing apps or games using these dinosaurs. My own feelings are more or less similar trying to develop like in the eighties. I have no Spectrum at home. So I cannot test your project. However, be sure that I really appreciate your contribution. I wish you the best ++

Dude! You're crazy! I'm crazy too!! I haven't coded for ZX for exactly 25 years! You're truly inspiring; I'd go to the basement and find my old ZX and its cassette drive. It's amazing that I met you and your game here.y_d4aa9200.jpg
