Nice ideas and there is space for new features like equip weapon and stuff, curious to see in the futur! :D

tommeh 2025-10-06 22:52

Really cute graphics! I'm not sure how the mechanics works since placing items on the grid didn't seem to do anything. However I love placing things on the grid so great job!

psevdonim 2025-10-06 23:26

@kagegona thank you for your feedback!

@kamilah thank you!

mackelvin 2025-10-07 20:37

As someone said before, I'm not sure if the items we collect are useful or just collectibles. Overall, very nice game Well done

psevdonim 2025-10-07 20:39

@mackelvin thank you for your feedback!

510 2025-10-08 12:45

I think the graphics were cute!

It would've been great if the items actually added to your stats and if the inventory was smaller so you'd have to actually make some decisions for your build. Also, I would've played more if the game was longer =) I hope you'll keep working on it, it could be expanded to something great!

psevdonim 2025-10-08 12:53

@510 thank you for your feedback!

staticrose 2025-10-08 15:09

Also like the graphics a lot. Especially the combination of the more detailed items with the sketchy ui really has something to it. Even though there were no real explanations I found it mostly easy to figure out what to do next.

psevdonim 2025-10-08 15:25

@staticrose thank you for your feedback!

vulpe 2025-10-08 19:53

Cute little game, thought I could stack the items or that they'd do something.

psevdonim 2025-10-08 19:57

@vulpe thank you for your feedback!

schu 2025-10-08 21:41

Very cute but I have no idea what the items do so it's hard for me to understand why they matter. I don't feel like my decisions make an impact on the gameplay

naru 2025-10-08 22:28

I like looting things, good job!

psevdonim 2025-10-08 22:38

I have to be honest here: this is so barebones that it's hard to really come up with any real positive feedback. There's just *nothing here*.

You only really do two things during gameplay: select your next destination, and collect the items from the chest there. The first one feels meaningless, since there are so few choices and they all lead to the same place, and the second one *is* meaningless because the items don't do anything and there's no story explanation for why you're collecting them in the first place. The collection aspect just feels like it's been tacked on to satisfy the theme, rather than actually being an integral part of the game.

The music is a ten-second loop, there's no sound effects, and the fact that the items are so well-drawn makes the crude graphics everywhere else in the game stick out like a sore thumb. I'd be willing to overlook those things if there was more of a game under the hood, but there just... *isn't*. I realise this is your first Ludum Dare, and I don't want to sound too discouraging, but I'm genuinely struggling to understand how *this* is all you have to show for 72 hours' work. It feels more like you made this in *7* hours. Maybe you did, but you haven't said so.

As a matter of fact, you haven't said *anything* about the game, or about any of the feedback you've received so far, which is strange given that the other jam game on your itch.io profile has a full and very detailed description, and lengthier responses to feedback. It comes across like you don't really care.

Again, I'm not saying any of this to discourage you, but to help you understand the problems with both the game and the way you've communicated about it, so you can improve for next time. However, I would appreciate it if you could respond with something other than "Thank you for your feedback"; something that tells me you have actually read my feedback and taken it on board, rather than just skimming over it.

I hope to see you return for Ludum Dare 59 with a much better entry.

psevdonim 2025-10-17 23:16

@f1krazy

Thanks for your detailed feedback xD

I agree that it might seem like I don’t really care and that I’m indifferent toward what you mentioned, but I can assure you that’s not the case. I truly appreciate the kind words people have written — even if some may not be entirely sincere, it’s still really nice to read them.

The main reason why I’m usually so brief in my comments — and why my game doesn’t have any proper description — is because I feel embarrassed to justify myself. The game is honestly very weak; I managed to implement maybe 15% of what I originally planned for the jam. Explaining what I didn’t have time to do, what got in the way, or what I intended to implement just feels petty and pathetic. The fact remains: I didn’t pull it off. And the reasons why — whether they’re objective or not — don’t really matter to strangers.

I even considered not uploading the project at all — just a few hours before the deadline I wanted to give up because I was so frustrated with the state of it. But I changed my mind — otherwise, what’s the point? Yes, the project is weak, but it is what it is, with all its flaws. I believe it’s better to finish something, even if poorly, than to leave it unfinished. How else can you grow?

I wanted to gain experience from participating in Ludum Dare — to see how games are submitted, how the rating system works, how the whole process unfolds from start to finish — and here we are. I’m very happy I took part, and your comment alone was worth it :)

As I mentioned above, I don’t see much point in justifying myself, but the project was meant to be better — I’m telling you this so you don’t assume I’m unaware of its problems. I do plan to keep working on it; I want to bring it to a more coherent, playable state.

Also, I can’t help but note that it was a bit tactless to point out how much time you think I spent on the game — like, “how could someone make so little in that time.” It doesn’t really upset me, since I agree with your main criticism, but I think it’s a bit unfair to judge someone without knowing their background, don’t you think? You’re viewing it from your own perspective, but our experiences aren’t the same — keep that in mind.

Anyway, thank you very much for your comment — I appreciate the attention and the feedback. And good luck to you in future game jams too! :)

P.S. My English isn’t very strong, so sorry for the auto-translation :)

euler-moises 2025-10-18 01:55

A very simple game. I liked the music. Is the goal really to reach the end of the map? Because I couldn't go anywhere after that. And I also couldn't enter the house or use the items I got.

Congratulations!

psevdonim 2025-10-18 11:00

@euler-moises thank you for your feedback!

patuwu 2025-10-21 17:12

Cute and interesting art style, addicting gameplay and interesting concept. Love it!

psevdonim 2025-10-23 16:32

@patuwu thank you for your feedback!

f1krazy 2025-10-24 19:44

@psevdonim Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. I agree that I may have been a bit too harsh in my criticisms, but I'm glad to hear that you're aware of them and saddened that, whatever the reasons may have been, you weren't able to create the game you'd originally envisioned. I wonder if it may have been better for you to go for the Extra category instead, to give yourself more time to work on the game.

Either way, as I said, I hope you're not discouraged and continue to work on creating games in the future.
