Amazing
I wasn't expecting such great humor from a game called deepthroat. The little spiel at the beginning was written well enough to keep me playing until I realized I was halfway into this guy's intestine and I had to slowly back the tube out yet again. I suppose I can't fault a realistic endoscopy simulator for being a bit slow moving. The tube handling had me thinking this would have some sort of spikes in the fella you would have to maneuver around using corners as latch points.
What a great take on the theme. A restart button would be nice. And maybe an objective, in the HUD, if i did not read the instructions properly ;) Please keep on developing this – it could be a great mobile game.
Absolute cinema ✋😔🤚
Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! Hilarious entry! Very cool and great take on the theme. I probably run into some error - when I upgraded the speed, it became super slow. But it was fun anyway :)
My first review, let’s go!
While the core gameplay could use some polish, it’s pretty unique, I see a lot of potential. The pacing felt slow at times, even with enemy respawns on the way through the body. Maybe a quick way to go from inside to outside (and back to where you were) would help, or just making the speed upgrade a default feature. Also, at max speed, the camera feels like it struggles a bit to follow the player smoothly.
Even without music, I think the game would improve drastically with more sound effects. The ones that are there are so rare and specific that they feel off, even though they fit the game well.
The art works great, I like the clash of styles, it gives the game a unique vibe. The only thing that I didn’t like very much was the enemies' design, I wish they had a bit more creativity.
The game’s humor totally helps a lot to compensate for the flaws, and with that comes a good story. Also, the black circle simulating the camera is a nice touch! I’m not 100% sure yet, but exploring the body feels like a more unique take on the theme, which is appreciated.
All in all, the gameplay loop, art, story, and humor work really well! It’s just the audio and gameplay pacing that leave a bit to be desired. Great compo entry, and even more impressive as your first LD! Well done!
Czechoslovakia is apparently a neo-civilization, judging by the lore of your game! This is fun! Cool development of the theme!
It's really fun! I really like the weird concept and how the tube controls. The humor fits well with the visuals. I wanted to play more but sadly encountered a bug when I upgraded my equipment that made the tube slower. The song loop is a bit grating too but good on you for adding some audio and music in. Great game!!
the game was hilarious and actually quite fun -- how you got that tube to work so well is beyond me -- fun game thanks for making it
the game is very interesting, the idea of the game is very interesting and unusual
A pretty fun game to play! I managed to get all the way through and get the key (but the dialogue box didn't disappear after I read what was in the safe so I had to refresh). Overall, really cool game!
@clare-chan1738, yea, the letter in the safe is the end of the game. There's no more content after that, so I didn’t add an option to exit it
10/10 entry for first jam game  Fun, looks nice and a nice mechanic. Well done!
Very funny game and unusual interpretation of the theme of depth, thank you, it was fun
Funny little game - I almost made it to the end, but when I grabbed the key it didn't seem to attach properly and I wasn't able to drop it and grab it again, so by the time I made it out of the patient, the key had disappeared XD.
This game is a masterpiece and should be taught at medical schools, as the most realistic depiction of endoscopy. Amyways enjoyed the premise, the theme, and humour. Maybe the game is a bit rough in terms of bounds detection, especially on max speed, but it is fine considering the time spent. Also unfortunately due to a bug, couldn't get the secret item out and see what it is for, but anyways I loved the game
Ok wow that was a hell of a drive With max speed I was able to clip through the intestine, making everyting a lot easier and faster  Clip.png Also it felt like there was some glitches with the ending text (when you click again on the letter while the text is running) Dialog.png
