hi, how do you install this? I tried opening the folder but I don't see any executable.
Love the color palette. Might recommend mentioning it's a Playdate console game in the description or title though :)
Would love to play, but can't figure out how to run it. :C
Hi all! Yes, should've made it more obvious that it is a Playdate game. I just modified the description to make it more explicit.
Each of us in the team recently got a Playdate, so we thought it would be fun to make a PD game for this jam.
Unfortunately, I couldn't play this game. Apparently the game does not fit my computer system.
This looks really cool, but i can't find any program files that end in .exe :/
Oh I want to play this, it looks so cool ! Making a playdate game in a jam is really cool, I wish I had one ;( Is there an emulator simple to install to try it anyways ?
Another PlayDate game! Can I add you to my list of uncommon hardware games to make it easier for people to find you? (edit: Not sure when you'll see this so I'll add you and if you wish to be removed, let me know.)

Also I know this isn't Pulp so you can't use the Pulp webplayer, but you might want to include instructions on getting the emulator from the PlayDate Website so people without a PlayDate can try it.

Looks great on device. 1 bit is hard to work with but things are mostly clear and all look good.

One question I had about the art - when I hit ships, they seem to change sprites, but not to damaged versions of the same ships, but to smaller different ships. Were these intended to be the same ship? Was this just a time crunch problem?
Not entirely clear how much I am supposed to crank. Cranking constantly wasn't ergonomic so I tried cranking just under ships. The whirlpool graphic seems to speed up when I crank. Is it possible to crank it up and then chase ships without cranking?
I downloaded the simulator and had a go! It was pretty interesting! At first I was trying to move and crank with only the mouse and it was impossible to play, but then I realized I could use the keyboard arrow keys to play too. I'm sure it would feel much better on the playdate though. Can you "win"? Or are you just getting the best score you can?
