Cute little puzzle game - I like the idea! It would have been nice to get a bit more feedback on what I guessed wrong. I wasn't sure whether I should be spending all my mana on guys or not - this seemed a bit disconnected from the puzzle. I also had a glitch with some of the numbers, so it was hard to see what the number was. Screenshot 2024-04-15 at 1.38.57 pm.png
Nice job getting this together in such a short time!

@rob6566 Thanks for playing! Yup the disconnect is a valid criticism, I think with more mana gain and purchase options it might have felt more connected. The phaser game does snap to 3 diff sizes depending on your screen so that bug looks like an issue with the fonts at a certain scale, I'll try to figure out, ta.
My earliest idea was to have a little animation when you summon to show where mistakes were but always pushed it down the TODO list. With hindsight, I could have made a quick overlay... :grimacing:

I really like the idea of mixing a zen game with real time combat. The artstyle fits really well and the color palette stands out. What happened while playing is I came to a point where the number of humans I had almost guaranteed I would clear the enemies. I would love if the enemies kept coming which would add a *very stylish* timer element to the game. Also I suppose it's not a priority for a jam game, but a quick reset button would be nice to clear the board. I'm really enjoying this and want to keep playing till the end. Great work!

@ahsoo Appreciate the feedback and thanks for taking time to play. Yup, definitely a problem. One I've fixed in the post jam version. I'll post a link after voting ends.
I'm a fan of picross so I was delighted to see an entry that used nonograms for the summoning theme. While there was no sense of urgency, that is what I enjoyed about it. I think it'd be great to see this developed further into a fleshed out puzzle game.

I like the idea, it seemed short but I would have liked it if you could put the x's with the right click of the mouse. Anyway it's a good game. Good job!

First pass:
The idea is great and I love the graphics. I'm a bit confused though because I solved the puzzle correctly, hit "summon", was told there were no mistakes, and then it takes me back to the puzzle and doesn't let me do anything while two guys (in level 2) move across the screen? Are the X marks mandatory? (They usually aren't in other nonograms so I left them out because the starter puzzles were easy enough.)
Second pass:
Went back to try after typing the first paragraph and see that I missed that the score page is also a store page. Is there a way to get back to it after you close it? If not, it's possible to get soft locked pretty easily like I did the first time, but I'm not seeing a way to open it after closing it.
But yeah, really enjoying this. Fun take on nonograms and fantastic art. Good work!
