Very funny, controlling everyone at once and making them dance around this remote-controlled flame is very funny. Not obvious to make them climb on the roof of their world though ^^ (I'm just not good at it I think ^^)
I fell better camera controls were easy plus. Doing something doesnt feel impactful (at least I did not notice).
Im not sure about the game flow, but I managed to made my cavemen jump off the cliff 😂. I like the graphics, even though it need more polish. I like the gameplay "point and click", it's really cool to see the guys following the light. The music helps in the mood too. I miss some HUD to understand better what is going on but it's a really nice thing for short time of work. Great job guys!

Hi, you made a really funny game! I loved letting the villagers run around, stumble over each other and descend upon the trees like locusts. Sadly, I was too bad to reach the ending - I just could not get the ball into the hole (If that is even the solution!). I did, howver, really feel the implementation of the theme, as I had to pay close attention to the level geometry to be able to maneuver all the villagers around. I do feel like the camera could have been slightly less static: Maybe by allowing the player to move their cursor freely and only attract islanders when holding a mouse button? All in all, while the gameplay was a bit clunky, I really liked the idea, which is what I really value in a Game Jam. This, supported by really nice graphics and sound design, makes this an impressive entry. Good job and thanks for submitting!
Took me a few runs to full understand what is going on and even then the controls were a bit wonky (and the bananas/coconuts just went flying out of the map) but overall it's a cute and funny little game.
Very cute designs. Also game was quite confusing, could have really used at leas some text guides or tutorials. The mechanic of loosely controlling villagers has a lot of potential, i hope you keep iterating on this.
Thank you all for your comments!
Regarding the camera - you can rotate and zoom the camera using the mouse.
To complete the game, you need to gather offerings to the water god at the center of the map in the form of fruits and roll the ball into the hole, and then try to avoid flooding.
I would have liked to see a tutorial. But I think I understood it by the end. I saved three villagers, though that mostly felt like the rest died due to path finding problems. It was sort of lite escape roomy, which I like. The villagers following your cursor worked relatively well, though I often felt that they were just a little too stupid (Kicking the rock the wrong way, not climbing the pillars, etc.) Cool entry, and very unique.
interesting idea, it's a shame that the camera control is quite clumsy and sometimes some of the villagers stand still and don't run anywhere but the idea is good and the execution is funny... :)
This was interesting... I never really figured out how to do anything except make the villagers fall off the edge, but it was fun playing "god".
Very interesting game mechanic!
I'm not sure I completely understood your take on the theme. Is it because the size of the map is limited? Sounds a bit of an easy interpretation if it's the case :D
The camera is a bit weird, feels like it won't stop moving when I release the keys.
The visuals are quite good, the animation of the characters is very fun, and the music is funky!
Good job!
This was super adorable. All the little dancing and noises were just too funny. I noticed that the audio only really seemed to play when I was near the center, and so the music would cut out as I moved around. I really liked the idea of guiding them around the map using the light. I would recommend another way to rotate the camera (maybe Q and E?), because rotating the camera with right click and drag also changed where I was directing them.
I think the auto-pathing of the people would need to be polished a bit more to avoid making this feel unfair. Because any single person hitting the water is an instant-lose, but I don't have perfect control over how they get to the light, I have to be extra careful to not get anywhere near edges. Something to consider?
I was able to collect just about all of the fruit (except the ones that flung off the map!), and I watched the ramp build upwards into the sky. It was pretty clear what I needed to do: avoid the flood by climbing my people upwards. Unfortunately, one of the pieces just points off the map, rather than continuing the spiral. Was that intentional?
