Quite a fun little too down shooter! Didn’t really fallow the theme of the jam but despite this I do like the candy theme. I also really like the shooting and how the monsters/strawberry’s flip back and forth. Good game!

@triangle-point Haha, yeah, I wanted to make a dungeon crawler at first where you had to deliver packages, but had trouble working up the motivation to write the code for it.

Got super demotivated as time went on so tried to think of simpler ideas and came up with "delivering candy to monsters" and... here we are. I'll take my 1.5 stars for theme if it meant I had a game to, deliver, haha.

Such a sweet game, I really liked it. Got really difficult when too many strawberries changed back to monsters. So everytime you had to check the environment, lure the monsters to a good spot where you got enough time to feed them all

Fun game! I found the whole experience very engaging and enjoyable. And the game surprisingly has a lot of depth. It was very rewarding learning all of the mechanics.

Most of the time there are groups of enemies stacked together. And because the candy bounces off an enemy, you can just one shot the group. I could see this both being a bug and a feature, if used correctly. But was very satisfying to blast a whole group with one hit.

I would like enemies to have some form of pathfinding. Right now they just follow you in a straight line. A lot of enemies just get stuck because of it.

When you turn a monster to a strawberry, you can't go through it. Sometimes I had paths blocked because of it and had to wait until they turn back to monsters again. It kinda disrupted the otherwise fast paced gameplay, which I think is the selling point of the game.

Other than these small details, it's a good game!

@skelleroznik Thanks for pointing out the pacing problem of allowing the Frens to block passages. I'll keep that in mind next time I work on a puzzle shooter. Shooters _are_ boring if you gotta wait.

The group chain was intentional. :) So satisfying.

Interestingly, the lack of pathfinding was also intentional. With pathfinding they'd swarm themselves eliminating the difficulty of stages 4 and 5 where you had to optimize your own path and carefully lead them around to complete the stage before too many reverted.
