I like the game,but why the screen is so small??
Nice frantic bullet hell game. The flame attack was satisfying. Harvesting didn't seem intuitive though. The sound plays regardless whether you are harvesting anything or not so it was never clear how close I had to be. I found it was best to just mash both mouse buttons. I got to level 10 before it crashed.
Nice submission, but might be a bit too easy, since the AOE of the flame attack is fairly large and the drops heal you, you're almost never in any real danger. Well, maybe I haven't gotten far enough lol.
Nice submission, loved how you have to get close to the enemies in order to harvest them, kind of high risk high reward thing. Graphic and music really catchy, Good job!
A super simple and pretty fun little game idea. I overall liked it, and the music is really good. Well done.
After playing your Game, I would agree most with @someone comment the most, except that I think the harvesting distance is clear after a couple of tries (it's almost touching distance) - that gives the Myconoids the change to shoot at the player right when they are harvested... so the meta is to firespray them and immmediatelly harvest them to minimize damege. With @jk5000 comment I do disagree on the point, that the game would be super simple - it is imho a complex game for compo especially that the gamemechanics of dashing, firespraying and harvesting work so much together not to forget that there is enemy behavior, projectiles and a Level/Score system. The harshed thing I have to say, is that Mycotic Uprising should have a bigger window, it is quite tiny on a 1920x1080 screen.
@oillen for me the game is super simple, but this not a bad thing. I wish in general that compo games is simple. And I don't disagree with it you that it does have some really fun game mechanics, that is working really very well. But I don't see them as been complex, and for me that is a good thing.
Nice job with this entry. Pretty easy to learn how to play. I figured out that after the trees spawn you could make your way to the corner and spam the fire and then harvest all the trees at once. Maybe the flames shouldn't destroy the apple projectiles.
Nice, a simple concept but fun. It was a bit annoying that enemies can shoot me when I am trying to harvest them but I found that I can click both left mouse and right mouse at the same time so that I am still attacking while I am harvesting. This is physically kind of difficult with a mouse but pretty effective as a strategy.
I made it to level 25 with 229 harvested and think I could keep going longer too.
The window was a bit small on my screen, I would have liked if it was double the size.
It was interesting to balance staying away and getting close. I think the flames were a bit op but the waves got more challenging and for a compo this is lots of good work.
