Love the concept! Nice graphics and responsive controls.
I couldn't quite understand the candlestick mechanic though - when I place a second candle it doesn't seem to light until the first one goes out?

Love the concept! Nice graphics and responsive controls.

Thanks! Yes, the first candle is the strongest one. And when it burns out the next candle starts burning It's kinda unbalanced. I'd like to update this mechanic
The pixel graphics <3 :D Really good entry guys. Great job. Took me a sec to undestand how the game is working. Thumbs up.
Nice presentation - the audio is kind of crackly, not sure if that is intentional. I also couldn't quite figure out where I could or could not place candles. Lighting looks good though!
Nice game!
Liked the graphics and sounds, also the mechanic was good, with making sure you explore and find enough resources to keep lighting fires, while fighting monsters. but i feel the game needed some other goal as well. maybe there was and i didnt find it :)
Anyway! very nice game! keep it up! <3
Very pretty game, but I was a bit confused with the controls
Thank you all! I appreciate all the feedback. We're going to continue working on it
This was interesting, i got a sense of urgency while playing, a really good thing. Like the graphics, fit the style, and good responsive movement. I feel there is alot of room for more stuff, which i feel was the intention from the start. This is good, and have many options for further building if one wants =) Could use some more tweaking on the combat responsiveness, and maybe some type of timer for the candle burning out, other than that, great job =)
Thanks for the kind words! And for the valuable feedback!
I liked this game overall, although there were some things that I think that might have made it more fun to play, the graphics were good, although both the candle item and candle counter at the bottom were not too clear, also, having some hidden details or buildings or other elements on the map to maybe tell a little story or lore or something like that would have made it more interesting to go around exploring (not sure if it's really that way but I didn't find anything, I just ran out of candles before finding anything) Only other thing I could think of is that maybe the area that the candles after the first one light was a little too small, any candle other than the first one didn't really help a lot. Those things that I mentioned aren't actually horrible or anything, I did like the idea of the game, the graphics and the mechanics, so good work, thank you for the game (:
Interesting game. I found the light mechanic kind of confusing and candles stopped spawning for some reason but I still had a lot of fun and thought it was a great idea. The graphics were also great and the game in general felt very polished. Great job!
the graphics are really good but the candle mechanic is very confusing
I love the game good job man, really love the graphics!
I like the concept. Nailing down the mechanic so it's a little clearer to the player what's going on and what the goal is would help. I really like the art.
Nice pixel art and cool game concept. Some description what the goal is would help a lot. Anyway, well done with the game.
I'm not sure what happened, but on my first load, the yellow box and line didn't appear! I just had the "click to gather" graphic, but my clicks didn't seem to have any effect (on the candles or monsters).
After the first loss and reload, that problem fixed itself and I got to play properly. I like the mechanic a lot! You've mentioned balancing more, and I think that's a good idea. Some kind of indication of my final score would have been nice, too!
The audio might have been supposed to sound like a flickering flame? It didn't really work well for me, but I like the idea.
