Hey, thanks for sharing! I'm playing your game now on stream. See timecode 56:00 https://youtu.be/euv3GH5eSOo
nice graphic and eerie mood, especially when you can hear death arriving and see the door open and close :). well done
I am going to play the game but I wanted to post this comment just incase I don't make it out alive. I'm scared...
Update: Phew I made it out alive. I kept OD pretty sure, I would find a jackpot of goods and take them all! I blame the nurses for leaving me unattended!
Fun Game! Great atmosphere!
I'm a big fan of the mood and I like the art. Though, I wish there was more of an in game tutorial. If you were to expand it, I would improve the character controller a bit. All in all, great work and awesome submission!
I liked the visuals of the game and the camera movement. The beating of my heart was kinda scary :D. Cool concept!
Very Funny game =)
I was a bit confused and also scared. The mood was good and it was on theme, but I didn't really understand how all the various pickups worked, why and when I would lose, and how to purposefully delay that other than just picking up random items.
This game just excelled with mood. I really liked the combination of the sounds and the gameplay
Amazing sound design and camera work...good pixel art as well.
@mrventures Oh no! I missed it :/ but thank you so much for playing our game! Is there anyway to rewatch your stream? Would love to see what other games you played as well
Nice game! One-way doors and invisible death is an interesting concept.
Cool game. The sound, graphics and gameplay create a kinda anxiety inducing mood. Well done!
game.png Love the sound effects and art! Fun game!played it a few times to try and get the highest score.
The mood is awesome! Audio was also very nice. I loved the idea behind being on wheelchair!
Really cool concept, I was a bit confused what caused me do die at first, maybe would be nice if the ghost was just a little bit better visible or if it was a bit more clear what's going on
it's pure fear distilled in a game. awesome
Kinda reminds Crank movie, but this feels different. Impressive work.
Interesting take on the theme! super unique and the idea of the doors being only one way definitely adds to the anxiety feeling of needing to continue on to survive longer. Great work!
Wow I'm amazed on how the zoom is effective to emulate stress. Well done. Also I did understand the effect of adrenaline and psychedelics but I can't see how they're linked to your life duration. Both add lifetime ?
@benjamin Thank you! We were pretty proud of the restricted view as soon as we came up with it. The adrenaline just makes you faster and the psychedelics have the dual effect of widening your view and allowing you partially see Death chasing you -- who is very difficult to see. So neither really extends your lifetime, but they allow you to keep one step ahead of Death incarnate. If you apply real world logic, it falls apart pretty quickly :joy:.
Wow!
This game is super atmospheric! I took me a while to realize, that the exclamation marks were good, so a small in-game tutorial would be nice.
Here's my high score: scrsht21.png
Atmospheric game, but I don't understand camera zoom mechanic. What does is depend on zoom?
@kremlebot The pills give you increased vision range, as well as allowing you to faintly see Death chasing you. The zoomed in camera is supposed to limit your ability to plan routes ahead of time.
@levi-koger Thanks for answer. But when game zooms in - I can't do meaningful choice and can only move in a random direction and hope for the best. I do like to move the character and find pills, but I can't understand, how I can be better than the other players? So I see only one way: to memorize the entire map over many game sessions.
I really enjoyed it! Played a couple times and finally got the hang of it. I love it when it zooms in on the little guy in the wheelchair and his "Where am I again?" expression. High score below: manbeast515MulysaPlay.jpg
@manbeast515 wow! Great score and thanks so much for the feedback and for playing our game!
These wheels animations are so satisfying. The atmosphere is decent, this game is kind of different than other games in this jam. This whole claustrophobic style hits on hard here
Hey, nicely dicely done. Once I got into the swing of things I realized the game mechanics was very slick -- definitely worth something pursuing in the future. I struggled with the difficulty (maybe I'm just slow), but it definitely had _my_ adrenaline pumping a few times. Keep it up!
