I love the idea! - just found it because our projects have the same name! My only issue is when moving the rubble gets in the way and I found that annoying, as well as the mining feeling a bit slow. But, I love the concept of a game like this - just needs some development and work.
Reminds me of cortex command mining. I recommend having an overlay showing the blocks that will break and having the pickaxe remove rubble in a larger area after consecutive hits.

The game has some potential. Maybe you can add some way to show the nearest ore veins, and maybe some way to spend them. Good work!

So I saw your original blog post about not being able to finish this.. I'm glad you did post the unfinished product. I was looking forward to seeing the digging mechanic in action and it works pretty well. Definitely the beginnings of a game here. Perhaps we'll see what it can become in the next jam!
