Great job making a VR experience in just 3 days!
Ok, first of all, I respect the VR attempt. As a VR enthousiast, it warms my heart to see VR submissions <3 ! So, just for that, thank you ! And it's a COMPO, so doing it in 48h is amazing !
The game itself is very simple, it was a nice little shooter. The trajectory of the projectiles was a bit frustrating sometimes, but I guess that's what the game was about =).
Just a quick note about the VR : being in an empty box with just one color inside tends to disorient the player and creates nausea, because when the player turns his head, nearly nothing changes on the screen, which creates a conflict in the brain. Even if it's just a couple of props, or changing the colors from one side to another, it's good to add stuff the player can use to orient himself ^^.
I know it was only 48h, but I would have loved a bit of noise from the monsters, to be able to use sound cues instead of having to look everywhere everytime ^^.
But otherwise, you did more in 48h that all my VR attempts for some weeks, and kudos to that !
So great to see a VR experience in jam, expectually in compo! Very enjoyed the graphics and mechanics. Very nice effect from flashlight affecting the weapon. So unfortunate that there is no game around it, but completely understandable. You already did a lot of work. @metalfox-dioxymore is totally right about monotonous environment and motion sickness. However I felt no nausea while playing your game at all. If you interested, I also did a VR game for Oculus Rift. It just wasn't for 3 days, but for 3 weeks. But I decided to submit it to ludum to show to more people.
Mad props for making a VR game in a compo like this!
I want to echo what the other commenter said about being in a large, vague space being disorientating. Having some floors, ceilings, props, etc to help know where I was would have been great. Likewise, having worms swim _right_ through my face was a very unpleasant experience, so given some extra time it would be nice to have them avoid doing that.
Overall though, it was cool to spin up a ludum dare game on my quest and shoot some stuff!
