This was really a cool little experience. I love the simple art style and the cool effects used. when you get used to the mechanics the game is quite easy to complete. Awesome little entry

First thing I noticed were the graphics, the simplistic style paired with the lighting gave it some really good antichamber vibes. Also, the surreal picture of a bunch of people repeating the same animation in sync is simultaneously humorous and kind of unnerving, functioning as motivation to continue. One small thing is that it's not immediately obvious what the "fail" condition of the loop is or what I'm supposed to do. I kinda figured it out after a few loops though so it's not that big a deal. Overall, cool experience.

Really cool Game! I like the Simple Artstyle and I can see, that you have great experience with Shaders! But the time to collect auras was to small and pleas, if you want to use Motion Blur, make a Setting for it! I had a hard Time, because my machine isn't the best! But overall a good game!

This is really cool. I like the graphics.

Thank you all for the feedback!

@sockpuppetcow Antichamber was definitely an inspiration right when I started making this game :D Sadly, time wasn't enough for me to make a tutorial, which is a shame as I had many cool ideas for a tutorial while making the game

@dampfwaltze Thanks for the suggestion! First time really using the motion blur, I should of thought that its not very good for performance, will keep that suggestion in mind for future projects!

I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection

Using this type of geometry(reminds me of Penrose stairs) for level design is a very bold move! Considering the game was made in less than 24 hours is i-n-s-a-n-e! Really cool game, would love to see as a full game one day)

spitzy 2020-10-08 13:42

@kolkav Thank you! Yeah, level design was supposed to be something like that and would of been a bit more obvious if the actual portals shader worked properly, but well - gotta love last minute bugs :D Still considering if I should spend some time to turn it into a full game, since I had a lot of fun working on it!

Nice job! Took me a few restarts to realize I had to chase the orb and took me a few attempts to finish! I love the art style! I would suggest making it more obvious what the objective is to the player as I could see people getting confused by the random restarting. Overall, nice submission!

Nice game! I like the style and even if it's simple it works well. I think the first two auras are too hard and I needed to restart like 20 times before I could go further. After that it's a bit easier. It's also hard because you pretty much have to sprint and even jump at all times to go fast enough, and that's a bit difficult at the start because you have to press them just after the start but not before or they wont work until you press them again. Anyway, it's a cool idea and if you had proper portals that you could see through instead of teleporter, that would have been even more awesome. Keep up the good work!

fun simple game, the art style is pretty nice i like the shaders being used and the level layout. the sounds are simplistic but known. the one think i had problems with was when i got reset when i held down W i didnt keep moving even though the resets instantanious which made me lose many times right at the start needing to reset my press and the ball moving so quickly but after that it goes really smoothly.

the gameplay itself is clean and responsive and i enjoyd playing it.

This is a fine and simple little game. I overall like the visuals.

aerloth 2020-10-17 20:52

Wow the start 2 orbs are super hard, I wish I could hold down W to start moving immediately when the game resets! I liked the portal mechanics, for 24hrs it is impressive - too bad you didn't have more time to polish it a little bit more! Got some antichamber vibes ;)

tiffi 2020-10-18 17:04

The start is incedebly hard. But I love your graphics, they are pretty minimalistic but they look great

homoludens 2020-10-24 20:35

The graphics are really good and the architecture is ver interesting! Unfortunately the design is fighting itself, meaning the most interesting part of the game for me is the architecture, and how you traverse in different ways, however because the "chase" is soo fast I can't even realize where I am or what is going on. Would have much preferred some time to take in the architecture! Good job though!

ice9 2020-10-24 21:30

I like the M.C. Escher style! Not really sure what's going on with the jumping humanoids though. It was fun to try and chase the path given how tight the timing was. The stairs being so bumpy was off-putting though.
