The mechanics of the game felt really good and well thought out, which made for a smooth game play. A few things I'd recommend is adding a bit more in game UI to let the player know what they're doing, as well as a mini map.

Oh also one more thing. When you built the game you changed the name of the exe from 'GameJam' (The unity project name) to 'GameJam.exe'. This causes an error because the data folder will not match. The solution is to have the data and exe names match eg. 'RobotPlay.exe' and 'RobotPlay_Data'!

Thank you Ioan for your comment and taking the time to play our game! This is our first jam and it is very motivating to hear. I have fixed the problem you noted with the names.

The gameplay feels really solid. I liked the tank mechanics, the way the cannon moves kinda slowly towards the mouse and the trail you leave are well made. However, the game lacks an objective, you just wander around collecting stuff and then come back; some sort of wave system for the enemies would be nice, considering that I only found 3 or 4 during the 10 minutes I played. The music helps setting the mood of the game and the sound effects are also great. Good job!

Thanks double-top, I agree with you, the levels are procedurally generated, though perhaps not overly well, it is definitely something we could have refined. Thanks for your feedback!

Good game! Need mini map and concrete tasks

Nice concept! Loved the music :) I like the setting that there are other robots out there doing their part to keep the family alive. However I didn't get their behaviour sometimes. One guy tried to attack me and killed himself while doing it xD Also as mentioned before in the comments, a minimap and an objective would be nice :) Nevertheless, great work!
