Good job, fun to play ! Sometime a bit hard with controls but really cool :p
That was bit of a frantic good fun! Nice graphics and music too. Forcing players to climb the tower to progress is a good idea, but I feel that it gets a bit frustrating to fall down repeatedly while also trying to aim and shoot. In other words, there is too much to do! More safe platforms would have perhaps helped, or a powerup that automatically gives you a jump boost. Either ways, neat game!
Well crafted little arcade game. The graphics are really nice. Love your use of shaders!. The only thing i would have liked, is a better feedback when hitting enemies. Overall one of the better games so far :)
I was sceptical at first when I actually had to install the game, but my oh my did this game deliver! It actually feels like a polished, publishable title that is intuitive to understand and actually really fun to play! If I were to really critique it, I had to be nitpicky. So I am I guess :D
- The Icons for the guns look to samey for me, I shortcutted the 'selectionwheel' in my head to "ok the 4th one does this" instead of looking at the icon to get an indication.
- the shotguns feel too weak. That being said, I had the most fun with the spread-gun and the 'sniper'.
- there seem to be a few optimization issues, don't know where they come from, but at about the fourth level (I think) my character started to lag around a lot.
But honestly, this is the most fun game I played up until now. I made it to 8 minutes :)
thx everyone for feedback, ill try make changes after the jam!
Really fun and polished!
I had only had two problems with it: the first one was that in some levels I had to go back to the main menu and restart because I just couldn't reach the platforms. The second one is just that the dash feels a bit weird at first, and it gets pretty hard to both shoot at ennemies and dash. Maybe try to set the dash in the direction of a movement key press?
Also, if you can, try to make a version that doesn't require to install the game, or even a browser version if possible, I think most people are turned off when they see they need to install it.
Honestly it could easily be turned into a commercial game, so congrats for that. That's really the kind of game I'd waste a lot of my time on if I could play it on my phone. Nice music too!
thank you everyone!
