This game looks really really good. I love that soundtrack too. I think theres a bug though because instead of wall-jumping off of the one block wall in the starting room, i clip through it preventing me from progressing any further in the game. Its a shame, because the first level was lots of fun.
I liked this one! The graphical style was really nice, and I liked the progression of upgrades increasing your mobility. The battles were well-executed as well.
Some of the collision detection with the level definitely felt a little strange, and also it seemed like there wasn't a penalty for dying? Like, not that I wanted the game to be super punishing, but I thought it was a little strange that damage dealt to the boss before dying still counted, haha.
Overall, I really liked it! I wish there was more of it to play!
@musicblox thanks for playing! The wall jumping collisions are bugged unfortunately. I thought it still worked most of the time if I didn't place walls too close together, but it appears that wasn't true.
@cassowary thanks for playing! I agree with your criticisms; there should've been a bigger penalty for dying than just having to wait a few seconds, and the collision detection was bad in places.
I'm considering turning it into a full game, and those issues will certainly be fixed. Also I had to cut two bosses, platforming areas leading up to the bosses, and one upgrade, to fit for time.
