Nice game but I don't see how it fits the theme

Hey great work ! I think the controls are a bit too hard to master, and you should really write somewhere what they are :) The graphics and visual effects are beautiful, I love the ships designs, well done
Really cool game, at one point it said I was victorious but nothing changed. Aside from that, really cool effects, art and sound.
@aderix Thanks for playing the game. The design of the game is as follows: you are a survivor trapped in an escape pod, slumbering, until you awake to the loud impact caused by your pod crashing into a derelict ship. You board the ship and manage to get the basic systems (engine, life support, weapons - should be only a burst laser at first) up and running. You scrounge the universe for scrap to upgrade the systems, get better systems and in the end have your revenge. Unfortunately due to this being my first video game project, having to learn Godot from zero and being our first project as a team, we didn't manage to implement all the features we planned. But we will continue to make updates to the game post LD.
@4quet Thank you for playing the game. We have @rampagebunneh to thank for the superb pixel art graphics and coming up with the idea of generating random ship styles from a predefined set of body parts. Particle effects and ship generation implemented by @adrians. We will take a look at refining the controls in a later update.
@catiliangames Thanks for completing the only level we managed to implement. I didn't have time to implement the victory and lose screens so I just displayed the corresponding message on the overlay. Art designed by @rampagebunneh , music and sound effects designed by @rampagebunneh and others mentioned in the Credits of the game accessible from the main menu. @adrians is responsible for implementing the particle effects.
Great art, cool sounds and retro atmosphere. Short introduction scene is super cool and we really wish that there would be second level <3 maybe some asteroids are too fast to be avoided and could be slower? Really well executed small retro game, thanks!
@palemek Thank you for playing the game. We intend to continue development of this game post LD and make it into a full fledged game with multiple levels, weapons, upgrades, ship types and more. You can follow the project on Github and be notified of updates and/or releases.
I like the retro atmosphere, unfortunately like any azerty keybord user really difficult for me to play but I kinda enjoy it
@miu Thanks for playing the game. I added rebindable keys and gamepad support to the list of features to implement after LD is done.
Ooh, I like the art style. Got some nice gradients there. Gameplay seems pretty Astroids-esque with the controls and wrap around screen but still pretty solid. The sounds effects also fit pretty well. It's too bad you didn't get the upgrades screen in, looks like it would have been pretty cool.
I liked the art style and the UI, I thought the effects and feedback were good. The gameplay seemed a bit un-dramatic, in that the enemies didn't feel very "present", more like hazards. The ending was also very abrupt. With more time, i can imagine some more depth would have been added to the game, but the foundation was definitely there.
@guitarbro @adamcyounis Thanks for playing our game. The enemies' behaviour was a last minute implementation so yeah, that's definitely gonna be replaced with a decent enemy AI. We will continue development of the game after the LD rating period ends and make it into a full fledged game. You can follow on github to be notified of future updates/releases.
Sweet art style. Would love to see it once some of the progression stuff is implemented. If you're interested here is the video of a playthrough!

@jake-marks Thank you for playing our game. There are many features planned for this hobby project, among which is also a 2-4 player couch versus mode. Make sure to follow the project on Github to be notified of future updates/releases.
Nice visuals! Not sure how the theme is integrated though...
