Quite nice graphic, So is it just some torture game...
Liked the different controls, unfortunatelly i couldn't use the microphone, but i missed some more action, and didn't quite understood the LT button function
I really want to test your game. But I don't have a controller with me. I'll try it when I get one. Promise :v:
got 457. Made our dude deaf.
creepy, but it's my type of game :D you might enjoy our game too, it's trying to make you feel uneasy, not sure if we succeded.
Creepy.
Is this a controller only game? It sure as hell ain't working with my keyboard and mouse
Unfortunately could not try it because it only has controller support :( but the game looks really interesting as far as i can tell from the pictures + the use of mic :) So you get 5 stars everywhere frome me i guess :D
Things I didn't like: - The game crashed when I accidentaly clicked to submit a score without putting a name on the game over screen. - I'm using a Playstation 3 controller, so a tutorial image showing the xbox controller would help me map the buttons mentally, like X being the square on my controller - One of the things that I've learned searching for how to do tutorials is: "Teach gradually through experience". The game starts with all the mechanics already there, it overwhelms the player. I had to lost several times to understand what each thing did.
Things I liked: - The recharge mechanic is very interesting! It makes you use one hand to spin the stick so you can't do other things, it's smart. - The mic mechanic is cool too and it fits the theme. - The pixel art is simple but well done! - If I undestood correctly, that ranking in the game over screen is updated online? That's awesome!
@eduardo-yukio thanks for all your feedbacks ! The gradual teaching of mechanics/controls is something we probably should have done. As it is a jam game, development has been done interatively in a way, we documented our main variables (deafness/battery/heartbeat/sleepiness) quite early in the process, but every mechanic you see on screen is based on the classical : « wouldn’t it be fun to... (yell at him, for example) ». Of course, we end up with a game that has all its mechanic there from the beginning, because we wanted to test them quickly and also got used to them ! But the more I think of it, the more I believe it is bad design. Now got that in mind and we will step up for the next LD ! On saving crash : it has been done during like... the last two hours, so we couldn’t quite test & fix it fully, crashes were the risk, we took it. Thx again !
