Thats innovative, i loved :smile: Theme is only one vote category. You don't have to stick to theme.

Love the idea!

mike-mihe 2018-12-04 09:05

Cool concept! How to disconnect nodes?

matoux42 2018-12-04 09:14

Nice game, but it's sad you don't respect the theme.

I really like these types of games. Where you manage the layout of your factories (in this case nodes) to be more organised and to be more efficient. Well done on the nice looking progress bar and interface with the nodes, also the tracking of resources moving along their connections is well implemented, following it's path even when the path is changing dynamically.

The only minor changes/improvements/fixes that I thought of while playing include: the player to be able to remove connections after creating them, some polish to the connections (sometimes when panning around connections disappear/reappear and if nodes are too close sometimes there wont be a visual connection made) and preventing the selection menu from appearing when clicking near the edge of the screen.

I know this is a prototype, but you should really develop this, add loads of resources and processing buildings, and maybe add like a long term goal (something like Factorio's launch a rocket kinda thing ). But, either way good job, and if you ever do develop this idea let me know! You could even try to put it on mobile with its simple controls.

@mike-mihe Thanks!) Cyrrently - nothing =(

@lucc ou! Thank you very much for very detailed feedback! To continue or not, I will decide after the end of the vote)

Wow, very original idea! i liked it!

nicee, i like the idea, it's a bit hard to figure out. audial wise it's a bit lacking but that's understandable considering the timeframe. well done!

It's a really boring game, way too shallow (as a lot of jam games but this type of game needs some complexity to be challenging).

The base idea is kinda stupid because every production line management game is about connecting nodes so the gimmick isn't really interesting.

dock-frankenstein 2018-12-07 19:22

Nice idea, but I don't see any sacrifices. Create menu is kinda buggy. When you click left mouse at the bottom of the screen the options are going of site. Overall I think this game is pretty nice!

You could have easily plugged the sacrifice theme in an economical sim game while capitalizing functionalities for your dezired concept. I think on that regard you miss the point of a Gamejam. Learning to work with all the constraint is important.

Regarding the game: Victory is way too easy. I haven't been able to break a connection between nodes without destroying a node.

Otherwise, you could have used more resources paths with harder to handle and shared resource dependencies. Maybe add some dynamic elements.

You also face the issue of any graph display: the spaghetti machine! The graph becomes quickly unreadable.

I'm fond of tycoon games and most of their challenge relies on space optimization, by using a graph topology you remove that possible challenge. The question you should ask is how to make the game challenging.

It's nice that you have a working prototype. Iterate on it!

@v1ru6 ou, thanks for the detailed feedback! =)

Super concept it is super clear what you need to do and how to do it nice game i like the node graphics it provide a lots of charm maybe dezooming would have been an nice extra cool game !

rootools 2018-12-11 16:54

@antt5053 0o! Thank you! =))

Really enjoyed the game. Original concept. Managing the production chain could be a little more complex. Overall great job :)
