Controls doesn't work
@skyrex That's weird, it works fine on my end. Did you try placing the cursor adjacent to your own player or on the opponent's side? If you try aiming at your own tiles, nothing happens. (I guess I should have made that more clear)
Nice game ^^ But a little rough on controls, you should not allow to travel more than one case per pressing key. It lacks sounds too. As I just saw, that is your first time ! Hope it was cool to participate ^^ Think, for the next time, than crappy sounds is better than no sounds ^^ But the gameplay is well thought, so that is a good point :)
Keep coding :)
@mathiouza Thanks for the kind words! I agree, that crappy sounds would have been better than no sounds at all, but considering that this was my first time using GODOT, first time developing assets with ASEprite, and I had no experience with Audacity or similar software, I tried to concentrate on the gameplay. And yeah, the keypresses are annoying, but I didn't manage to fix that in time.
We can't really tell at first try who is playing, and what action you can do. There is not so many feedback. It's quite disturbing if you don't really pay attention to the match.
@trystan-sarrade Yeah, I really should have added a turn indicator. This is why some playtesting would have been helpful :P
Took a while to figure out what was going on. my eyes are not up to finding the little red arrow on a brown background. A Yellow rectangle around the targeted tile would help a great deal. On the other hand I think this game would play a lot better with mouse control. The core concept is good I think, it's just the UI theat needs work.
Nice art!
