The game keeps taking me back to the main menu sometimes when I die ( Ithink it has something to do with giving input while you are dying?) Also, rolling to the end of the first stage causes the same effect. Still, really enjoyed the graphics! You guys did a pretty good job at it

Really great and hard game! The graphics are amazing and it plays wonderfully. my only complain is having to go back to the start every time I die (since everything is a one hit death).

Looks good but doesn't feel all that good. Very frustrating returning to the main menu every time you die. Enemies feel like they take too many shots making shooting feel very weak and unimpactful (the animation doesn't help with that). Also the music gets old really fast would like to have a mute button. Graphics look great though, nails that SNES look. Just needs some polish on the actual gameplay and I think it'd be solid.
Hi guys, i put the deaths mecanic in the dead line, so some enemies restart the room and some restart the game, was my first time using game maker studio 2, i will fix that, thanks for the comments

this is a very interesting game, reminded the game of aladin. Your game is very beautifully done. Very good work on animations and the development of gameplay. good job

Very nice art and impressive global result. I miss a skip intro option.

The graphics are incredible ! It was a bit long to restart the game with the introduction each time we died. I didn't have any audio, is it normal ? Great level design ! Good job !

Really nice game! The controls felt quite good in an oldschool kinda way. The visual style is awesome, also great that you managed to get some intro screens done. The theme is not very present though, I only saw the ceiling coming down in one short passage in the second room. The death mechanic is a bit buggy, like others have described, which is kinda annoying. Music is nice, but very quiet. Overall, I enjoyed this quite a bit and would love to see it developed further, good job!
Awesome graphics and simple but cool music! As for the gameplay, it looks like a Megaman X : the character is able to dash, to "slide" on the walls and to wall-jump. Even the guitar sound of the music reminded me Megaman X. Is it voluntary?
Other similarity with Megaman X, it's very hard (but sometimes more because of the controls than the level design. Yet, i can understand all the character's ability may be hard to handle in only 3 days). I thought some trap were kind of unfair, especially the one with the spikes at the end of a big hole, but it's something we could find in a Megaman game, so it's all right.
Finally i suppose the link with the theme is the spiked seiling going down, but i saw it only once in the game. Also, a plateformer isn't really innovative.
Now that i reread my review i realize it's kind of harsh, so i want to repeat graphics and animations are really awesome, they are the strong point of the game! You also made the effort to make a neat intro, which is considerable. As for the music, i liked the riff playing during the levels, it's efficient and gives an urgency mood which well correspond to the situation the character is in.

Great graphics and the music & story combine for a nice mood. Gameplay is pretty frustrating though, both due to dying kicking you back to the title screen and some level design issues. There are a lot of parts where the player essentially has to die at least once as there was no way to see the danger ahead, such as the mummy after the bridge and the spikes at the bottom of the big drop. This was super frustrating and I didn't have the patience to continue after that spike pit. Quicksand might as well have been an instant death as it seemed like there was no way to actually get out of it even though you could jump. Still the presentation is really good, with some gameplay fixes this would be a solid platformer. Keep it up!
