You have a nice prototype, but the early grind is, quite frankly, excessive. It took me over 1 mile of travel at the basic 0.01 speed from holding space to get an engine, and even that was from a random powerup giving me some money. I gave up at 4.5 miles when I was still 100 gold off the AI driver after hitting the majority of coin powerups.
There's some cool stuff going on here. I like the mix of racing and more tactical elements, and would like so see more of that. Great job on a really neat prototype!
It's a good, idea, the only problem is too get a the engine at this speed, I think is the engine is standard, it makes the game much too long to start
This game reminds me the time I played FC.
This one was tough, until I picked up the first engine upgrade. The piggy banks help out a lot in buying the upgrades. I really couldn't notice a difference with the AI upgrade. I made it over 9 miles until I ran out of gas. Running out of gas just seemed to slow me down, and the game kept going. By the way, the green and blue colors are backwards in the custom color picker for the car.
The AI upgrade didn't seem to work? Unless i'm misunderstanding... It didn't change anything
The early part is way too slow. Takes several minutes to get first upgrade.
I think your base concept is fun, but as the others mentioned you have some balance issues. Given how much the piggy banks give vs how much you collect from coins, I feel like the coins were effectively worthless. Because of this it took a really long time to get into the main meat of the game... But that's all fairly minor stuff, your general concept was good! Well done.
