I like that it's not just random shooting, but the colors/positions matter :) Good job, good idea :) And don't be too hard on yourself, it's normal to want so many great things in the game, but there isn't time for all of them :) Are you planning on finishing this?
I think it is a problem of pretty much everone participating in LD that they want to achieve more than they can. It is after all also about pushing your limits.
I really liked the idea of the game. The control scheme was a bit confusing, since I don't have an english keybord layout and had to figure out which button < was supposed to be. It might be a good idea to stay away from symbols and use letters that are similarly placed on most keyboards. Also regarding the size of the web player, I guess you used Unity's 960x600, but the HTML5 build actually adds a small bar to the bottom, resulting in the top part of your game not being visible. Just add another 60 or so pixels on the itch.io player settings and that should be fixed.
I do not get money for mentioning it... ;-) But this video helped me a lot to finish my game this time... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYUfXay_Pio
LD 39 I had a realy nice and fancy idea... But couldn't finish... This time (LD40) I did it the other way around... Simple gameplay and then the nice and fancy things... Ok - it's just a tetris clone but I broke the curse of not finishing in time ;-)
