tad unclear but still fun and groovy concept

ratbird 2017-12-05 13:08

Yes, unfortunately, i wasnt to fully show the concept.

abyster 2017-12-05 21:49

The graphics were good but i kinda got confused with the purpose of the game.

ratbird 2017-12-06 00:16

Just keep Rating above zero

appl3 2017-12-06 07:32

Not really sure what I'm doing in the game, but it looks good and has potential if not unfinished

pedro-miranda 2017-12-06 12:28

I didn't really understand what was going on :/ I really like the graphics and the aesthetics are great, it has potential to be a awesome game. Great entry.

There aren't enough "vivarium" games. I hope you can turn this into something more interesting. Keep up the good work!

pixelformedstudios 2017-12-08 18:05

Wasnt very clear on what to do at first, but I enjoyed the concept. Really cool and original take on the theme. The only issue I had was when you tell someone to leave when they are sitting down, their animation doesn't change and they float away sitting down. Really high rating on the graphics and mood though, really liked how the game looked.

ratbird 2017-12-08 18:30

@shinyogre, thank you for interesting comment. "Vivarium" its precisely the definition

@pixelformedstudios, thank for constructivity. I tried to do everything from scratch in 2 days, so I overlooked a lot. There were planned sudden gunshootings with gangs, corporation and police, clearing crime scene, trade, identificate hackers

kramdar 2017-12-08 18:48

The graphics are great and the idea of trying to manage a tycoon like game while running around shooing people away is very entertaining. The mechanics are there but it is not presented to the player too well. There could be more on screen cues as to what is happening besides the end of the day report. More feedback would give the player more direction. With improved player feedback and a bit more added content this could be a great game. It is still an ambitious idea and completing a prototype in 72 hours is impressive, congrats!

@kramdar Thank very much for constructive critics and potential solving of potential issues. I really appreciate this. Yes, maybe i finish it later.

I liked the art style ! This INSIDE vibe is great. And the 2d sprites for the characters is a smart idea, especially for a time limited event like a game jam. But I barely managed to do anything in the game :( I hope you'll continue working on it to improve the gameplay because the idea looks really interesting ;)

fabio-guedes 2017-12-10 09:59

Amazing graphics and mood. But like others said, it's very unclear how to play and what to do. Could potentially become something real good thought! Keep it up!

pcmaster 2017-12-10 11:24

A lot of ambition here :) But what a shame you can't do much in the game. I managed to build 2 web places and that was it. The time runs slowly I guess. At next LD, which I hope you'll take part in, better assess how much you can manage to create (alone) in the 48-72 hours and CUT CUT CUT down on the features :) I love the character animations and the gfx in general.
