Adding AI would certainly benefit the game, but as a multiplayer game it's a solid experience although it lacks innovation.
@AsSoonAsImpossible Yeah, we really would have liked getting some AI in, but time was up and that would have expanded the scope quite a bit - so it's just multiplayer for now :/
Thanks for playing!
Fairly simple and fun game. I got a bit frustrated with the colision (bullets hitting walls when aparently they shouldn't and bodyblock, not sure why you used a box collider for the players). Some actual powerups would be nice as well.
Unfortunately no way to test the MP for myself but tried anyways. Simple idea but it works well :) what I found strange while playing was maybe way too big hitboxes of the player, don't you think? Other than that enjoyed :)
I wasn't expecting a multiplayer game! (although should have seen it coming based on the game title) I sadly couldn't test it with someone else, so I had to pretend I was competing against a friend for the purpose of the review.
I liked the core concept, and it's reasonably well executed. As some people have pointed out already there seem to be an issue with the size or placement of collision boxes, though.
I think that with a friend this would have been very fun to play.
This entry has a lot of potential. I'd love to see a post-jam version with different powerups/abilities, stage hazards maybe, and an AI for single player!
The concept is really cool. It's a simple and funny game. Great work guy.
I can't seem to run it on my mac. I found the executable file called acvsdc but clicking it opens my terminal, runs a few things and nothing loads. It says this (I've cut out the full file path:
/acvsdc/Contents/MacOS/acvsdc ; exit; dlopen(jre/lib/jli/libjli.dylib, 1): image not found Error: failed to load VM runtime library! logout Saving session... ...copying shared history... ...saving history...truncating history files... ...completed.

Then it just hangs
