The core concept is great, the controls are well designedx and feel very smooth, and the graphics are pleasantly thematic and fit together with the music and the mechanics. I can't fault the game on its gameplay. Good wrok.

I did have some concerns with the level design, though, or at least with the first few seconds I was able to get through.

During the first vertical line area, the best strategy I've found is to just stay blue and hide under all the walls. The section would've been much better if you'd introduced a fourth color that nothing can pass through, and forced the player to shift color to fit the walls. Or if you'd forced the player to jump through the vertical areas by leaving a gap in the floor.

Right after that area is the obstacle I couldn't get through. I can't jump through it no matter the color, I can't roll through it because the floor isn't safe, and I can't see to land under it without smashing myself when I try to get back up.

It's a pity I couldn't get any further though, the game looks like it'd be really fun for quite a while with some better levels.

The first bar level is designed to make you think you've outsmarted us :). There's actually a variant of it later that you can't cheese that way. Is the area you got stuck on this part? impossible.PNG

You're supposed to drop down and just jump back up immediately, staying yellow. Either way, I appreciate the feedback. One thing we realized later on was that the speed of the game and the general zoom level made it hard for us to give the player appropriate time to anticipate the obstacle and decide on a course of color action.

(This game scrolls left to right) Another way through this puzzle is to become magenta, as doing this would turn the obstacle into a simple 4 block jump, being magenta will also then prepare you to jump through the tall yellow laser at the end. A lot of the puzzles in this game become matters of perspective, with one color making the puzzle harder i.e yellow requiring you to make a difficult or impossible jump from the bottom layer to the top layer, whereas blue and magenta make the puzzle progressively easier by requiring less precision.

This game is really challenging (for me) but a very cool idea, nice work!

The color mechanic in intriguing but way to challenging for me. The game is also really fast, so it took me a moment to figure out what was going on, and even after I did, I only made the first few jumps and dodges.

It's true, I really want to try and think of a way to give people more of a heads-up about the challenges coming next, but also don't really want the game to go much slower. One thing I will do though is to compose a series of easier beginning levels that slowly introduce the concepts instead of just throwing you right in there. To be fair, I thought that was what I was doing, but I greatly underestimated the learning curve.

I like the idea of the game mechanic. Unfortunately, I always died after the first few jumps :(
