I like the circular platforming concept. A little unforgiving though (but that might be by design), maybe offer a few lives before resetting all the way back to the beginning?
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD38 → Crate Jump: Planet of the pressing of the spacebar

@tdennist yeah multiple lives is a good idea, I guess I thought people would get through it really quickly that way but looking back on it I guess that's probably ok for ludum dare.
This is a pretty neat concept. I'm a sucker for 2D runners, so this really peaked my interest. The first few platforming sections are pretty good, and I like how you can see the whole level all at once. That being said, I did run into a few problems. First of all, pressing space in my browser automatically scrolls down, so it was kinda tough to play. I can't really hold that against the game, though, since it's the browser's fault. In terms of problems I had with the game itself, it's pretty tough to jump over spikes because of how slow you are. You pretty much have to time your jumps perfectly. Sending the player back to the start of the game for messing up once given the very precise nature of the jumps is very unforgiving. The visuals are also a bit basic and would need some work if this game were to be expanded upon. Despite these issues, I think that you really got something going here conceptually. This game could be improved a lot with a few minor tweaks and could be made into something really special. For what it is, this game is pretty neat.
Nice simple concept. Would make a good mobile game. I have two main suggestions: first, it was frustrating for the whole game to restart if I hit spikes. Second, it might have been nice to see further above the character, maybe to have the camera moved up to center on the character.
Like the concept! I think there are a lot of clever things you could do with it. Nice work!
